. . . everyone will run out of drops and all the card will be used for a certain or all games?

Prices skyrocket.

Won't rise too high unless drops permanently stop. Otherwise it would be cheaper just to set up an alt and buy the game again.

Games are cheap, make an alt. Cards will never run out unless they lock all further drops

Gaben will be giving away more cards for random users.

They will probably change the way you get cards.

I think they will be adding more series of trading cards.

You can see on your badges that it says «1 out of 10», Series 1. Eventually , cards would never stop since they could always make another batch of cards. This would make the first ones become rarer and so on

Max stable card cost is the sale price of the game divided by number of card drops for the game. Most expensive cards per worth of game right now is HL2, I think, but prices will plummet next time HL2 goes on sale.

Don't starve cards are the most expensive in the market as not so many people own the game

I think it's impossible, since you can always get new cards if you buy stuff in TF2 or Dota2.

As long as new users are joining to Steam/buying games every day, I think this isn't gonna happen (unless they start adding cards to games like Wolfenstein, Prey etc.)

Simple. They release a new series. Right now, Series 1 cards are dropping, and when card drops get too slow, they'll release Series 2, resetting everyone's drops.

or release series 2 without resetting and ensuring collectors will create new accounts and buy new copies ;)
This would be only way that cards keep value, if series 1 couldn't be obtained new after series 2 has started.

Where can I get information about those card series? after series 1 there will be no way to get the cards fdrom series 1?

It's just speculation right now... so there isn't any reliable information.

Once it goes live for everyone cards for common games (e.g. Team Fortress 2) will skyrocket down because of cards on the market.

While on the subject of cards. Do people actually buy foils?

Yep. I saw a few people with foil badges.

I guess, if someone fond of collecting and/or growing his epines and actually has the luxury to spend such money then I guess yeah.

Apparently so. I sold a foil for $10 when they first came out. Money for nothing :)

New games appear every week, so every week will mean new badges to collect.

What can happen is that people will see this whole stuff is BS and stop caring about it.

Is there any way to create free accounts and get free drops? because you have to have bought all of the games, right? i know there's tf2 which is f2p, but you have to have bought it or bought ingame items, no?
