Guys,

I have set acceptable ping to maximum in settings, and whenever I enter an official server match, I get only players of my own country (unless I join someone on my friends list). I am from Brazil and I have a good internet connection, but matchmaking refuses to pair me with players of other countries.

Is there any way to enforce matchmaking in casual or team deathmatch to not ignore matches with other countries players?

From what I know, matchmaking usually matches you with people with the best pings to have lag free experience, I can't see it happen unless you have a friend from a different country to play with, and get matched with other people from his country.

Best pings my ass... I get lagging russians with 200+ ping every day. They just appear in front of me, kill me and are somewhere else. And they yell at me to stop hacking when I kill them...

Is that allowed by Valve?

I don't know but I think it's safe, it only blocks the server IPs in the firewall and just to be more safe make sure the program is closed before playing CS:GO, otherwise it might trigger a VAC ban which I think is very unlikely to happen.

I have used it like 2 months ago and still nothing happen to my account so yeah. It's up to you to use it or not :)

I'm using it on my laptop for a few months now to avoid Russia's server. Works most of the time (although I get thrown into matches with russians a lot still) and haven't received any VAC bans or anything. It just blocks some servers in your Windows firewall. It doesn't change any of the game files so it's safe.
