That 12% is just your stat. Out of all 194 giveaways I've made so far, I never had to open a ticket. Never had too much to complain when I come here tbh.

I also said that there is nothing to complain when I come here which means I never focused on the negatives. The only main thing which discouraged me was the unreasonable blacklists but I don't mind anymore.

I have never seen anyone so ironically take a post, and act out a perfect example of what the post was referring to. Jesus Christ. Did you do that intentionally? Or is it actually ironic? Cause I feel like to intentionally pull it off you would have had to very selectively read that post and ignore 80% of it.
EDIT: And re-reading this it sounds a little hostile. Just note this is 100% curiosity. I'm not attacking you or anything, I'm actually intrigued.

I'm lazy af. But I wanted to be the first comment so I posted whatever came to my mind. And why have I never had to open a ticket to my giveaway? Because I don't care if bots stole my giveaway, I don't care if a guy with unactivated wins took my giveaway and I don't care if they have won the game which they already have in their library. As long as I'm getting my CV it doesn't matter. Now you see what I mean by always looking at the positive side?

But that's the point. The post AGREES with you. You still haven't read it to realize he isn't disagreeing with you.
The entire point of the post was to point out how people only pay attention to the negative instead of the positive, while the OP focuses on the positive. Then you show up, and IMMEDIATELY focus on the ONLY negative part of his entire post, which is prefaced and superseded by positivity and used only as an example. You literally showed up and (unintentionally) ironically proved his point true. You focused only on the negatives, even though you are saying not to, to the person that originally said not to in his post.

I agree with you! I don't know what my stats are - I've done 193 giveaways, and maybe.... no more than 10 of them I had to open tickets for, and maybe another five on top of them did I have to go out of my way to contact winners to remind them to mark the game as received.
That was just momentary annoyance. What sticks with me is the thanks I've gotten and seeing people be really happy and excited they got something. That's the most important part.

i've requested a new winner 3 times for 203 giveaways. two of those three simply wouldn't answer me when i tried to contact them, another was someone who got the URL to an sgtools giveaway without meeting the requirements and also hadn't activated their wins maybe ever. if you're talking about hassle i'm at 1½% -- if you look at bad users it's just ½%. guess i’ve been lucky! glad you’re finding enjoyment in your 88% though!

I've never been bothered about the very small amount of problematic winners I've had, since they're nothing compared to all the people who just won a game fair and square and were happy about it. I took the trouble of counting just now: 9 rerolls on 596 GAs (and yes, I have bothered to check my winners for past violations :-)) Call me lucky if you will.

It's human nature I think.
Just an personal example from tonight.
I made myself 4 egg-whites pancake with oats flakes after my workout. I garnished it with dark chocolate and kiwi, because I love the combo.
After asking what I had for dinner, my brother told me that there is no meat, so it's vegan and it's no good after workout... and my girlfriend told me that it's too sweet and chocolate isn't for dinner...
None of them noticed that I made myself healthy after-workout meal or that they know that I love choco and kiwi combo and are glad to treat myself...
But that's just my rant :D

as far as psychology goes, I agree with you.
We expect things to go as they are supposed to. So we dont really notice the good things.
Well, the bad things - they arent supposed to happen, so we give them more attention.
An example from myself - I rebuilt engine of my car last year. Went pretty smooth with little hickups. And thats about it. I wouldnt say I was very thrilled or happy just because I did what was suppoused to be done and it worked. Now the brake and fuel lines rusted through and the car started loosing fuel and brake fluid. No big deal - an old car. supposedly an easy fix. I spent some 3 hours bashing around my garage trying to get one little screw open. I was furious and it ruined my day.
Its just natural to concentrate on the bad. Well, Its a good practice to try and ignore it.. but whose got the time for that in our very busy days.
btw. I actually love those egg-oath "pancaces".. Havent made myself these in a long time..maybe I should. well, Havent worked out in a long time neither :D:D

Something that was taught to me(and reinforced over the years of living) is that we shouldn't complain. And if we do feel that we should, we should do it in a constructive way so that complaint can be fixed and both parties don't feel lowered in any way.
It may sound simple but it not always is.

I feel ya, I was probably one of those guys that always check for rule breakers etc. Then I got tired of it and just focused on the community and positivity of doing giveaways.

Checking for rule breakers among your winners is still a good idea -- it's just one click (or two) and you help brighten someone else's day if they don't have to deal with the rule breaker (as well as getting the games to people who actually deserve them). You don't need to go any further than that, though, nor do you have to let the rerolls get to you.

Welcome to the world, this happy place where people are always dominated by their amygdala (nice to meet you, old friend!). Kahneman explains why (google "Kahneman biases", especially "negativity bias").

Good post, Amano. I admit that it's annoying me if I have to request the support team to check on infractions, because I'd like to get over key distribution to winners fast. Often the users already had have their suspensions for those infractions. So it's a real small percentage.

And I am myself to blame. In the four and a half years I am using this site I was complaining so much to myself and my SO about the cheaters and leechers and rulebreakers because of whom I had to put up endless tickets of re-rolls. I was always trying new methods to weed out the bad seeds, so to say, and none worked reliably.
Well, today out of curiosity I took a look at the numbers: Out of all the 1.060 giveaways I did to this day only 12% needed a ticket to contact support for something.
Of course, 12% are still 12% too much, but let's spin it around: This means that 88% of all those giveaways went through without any real hassle, without any need to contact support. Well, in some cases a simple blacklist would do the trick, so those should be added, but I lost count...
Anyway, I guess what I was trying to say is: Focusing on the flawlessly executed giveaways on this site, focusing on the good experiences instead of getting all riled up because of the negative experiences would make the time spent on SG much more enjoyable. I will try to keep that in mind from now on to make this place more positive and comfortable, even if it is just for myself :)
