So yeah, I traded some stuff for ACII and am playing it now. One thing with it is(It is not a big great catastrophic thing) that it is always bugged whenever I launch it. When I click "play", it launches the UPlay client. Then UPlay opens up and a play button is there, however, this one is greyed out (not clickable). I have to start task manager, then end AssassinscreedIIgame.exe process. Then the play option becomes available. Bu doing this, I don't get steam overlay and all. I don't care much for the overlay, but this is annoying. Anybody who faced the same? Thanks

Started playing AC2 for the first time a couple days ago and don't have that issue, but after reading up a bit on the Steam forums I also downloaded and installed the Uplay client from the Ubi web site prior to installing the game. Maybe you'd have better luck with a downloaded reinstall [edit] of the Uplay client [/edit]? (Or at least running and update-checking the client once outside of the game?)
Haven't had any issues with Uplay yet, other than its existence. I didn't have the Steam Overlay the first time I ran the game, but I did have it on the second run. Also, once when I did the Uplay Shift-F2 and Steam Overlay Shift-Tab, I got a normal white arrow mouse cursor hanging about in-game (Alt-Tabbing out and back in resolved that though).
