I have a colleague who uses these. They look pretty comfy.

I have this one, but the micro usb cable is crap, and it uses a lithium ion battery, so.... it dies within a few years.

That G930, was the headset that broke. I am thinking of going for the G430.

The best headset I've had to date is the ones I'm currently using. The name might be absolutely terrible, but they were cheap (35€) and gives me better sound than far more expensive headsets, so I would recommend:
Turtle Beach Earforce Z2
Just beware that they give you terrible headset hair

Haha. But doesn't look like places where I live are selling them now.

The logitech g930 is amazing and can be found for under 100$ on sale, also all of the ones under the g930 line are excellent and vary in price. As far as things to stay away with I had nothing but problems with razer headsets, they just dont last more then a few months it seems and I am very careful with my gear.

Kingston HyperX Cloud or Cloud II, i own the first one, after a couple of weeks i bought mine, Cloud II came out. They are simple yet the feel comfortable and sound great, and they also seem durable, i have dropped mines a couple of times and they havent break yet, probably of the aluminun body. This is my current headset for the past 2 years, i am happy with it.
I would suggest not going for Turtle Beach Headsets as i owned a Turtle Beach x12 like 2 years ago, and it lasted only for only one year, after that, one of the sides broke in the part where the earcup rotates, there was no fix for it.
Fatality Headsets are also good, they offer really good sound, but after lets say a year or two one sound might stop working. This happened to me like 4 years ago.
