Am I mistaken, or is that the scammer's real address and phone number?
I kinda want to start using that phone number as my fake number for surveys and shit now.

That's the number of the webhost of his domain, I'd imagine. "Domain ID Shield Service"

I always wondered how these people look for the 'victims'. Long before my presence here, there was month or two, when I got invites from 0 lvl profiles or private profiles without avatars, tens of them. Funny thing is, beside maybe 2 games subforums I didn't even post anywhere 'to be seen' or I didn't play any MP games.
Fortunatelly steam hammerban helped :P

I have no idea what are you talking about and I think I don't even want to know. You posted about scammers on steam, so I posted my own experience with people of this kind. That's all.

I think the reason he mentioned it was a level 16 account was just because you talked about getting invites from level 0 profiles.

Yup

That probably means that they are using stolen accounts for these scam attempts. Previously most scammers would be level 0, but with the new-ish restrivtions you actually need to invest a little in your account to be able to add people, so scammers are likely to use stolen accounts instead of newly created ones.

Are you part of groups that have free joining allowed? i think some bots get their "victims" from those big groups

It's not new, but yeah, this seems to be the latest version of it.

Someone on my friends list, a level 86 sent me the exact same message last night through chat. Looks like he got phished :( Another of my friends got the same message from him.
