My theory: This game is in the new Lazy Guys Bundle. If Lazy Guys Bundle has a stipulation that the game not be given away free for a certain period of time, and this dev made this massive giveaway because he didn't read or didn't understand the contract to which he agreed, perhaps LGB was threatening to withhold his payment from the bundle due to breach of contract. So the dev invalidated all of the given-away keys to make things right with LGB, and wanted to postpone the giveaway until later, with even more keys, to try to make things right with the giveaway creator.

Yeah , I could not to make the giveaway , but he didn't tell me that in time.
He told me that when we started the giveaway and promoted it and like 20k cd keys got taken...
As well after that he removed me from steam , I had an agreement with him as well.
He asked me if I can pause that or If I can change the name of the game so the studio won't be able to know that.

Sounds like you didn't do anything wrong here. Seems like the dev made a bad decision and was stuck between violating his deal with you or violating his deal with LGB, and he chose to violate with you. :-/

Sounds about right. It's a rather shady practice though, the dev should have read his contract before
giving a massive amount of keys to someone else.
The fact that Steam simply let's a developer revoke keys as they see fit is also rather scary.
They probably need the option for credit card fraud and the like, but at least it they should require
some good reason for such massive measure. Just because the free keys are problem for the
developers dealings with a bundle site should not be a reason for approval.

I wouldn't mind the key being invalid if I hadn't activated it yet but now my account is flagged and I have to wait 2 extra hours for every game when I farm cards FOREVER. I never issued a refund for that exact reason.

It matches my own experience but I can tell for sure tomorrow once I've tried it out. But somebody reminded me that you can idle multiple games up to 2 hours and then seperatly with Idle Master so it's not as bad as I originally thought.

Yeah not bad but take more time for sure, I using that method too even if my account is not restricted because after the first 0.5hour, all 1st cards from all game idle drop at once, then each 0.5 hour until finish, thats really great.

It's weird I just continued idling a game that I was idling before they revoked Drunken Wizards and just got my last card drop although the timer was just at 1,5 hours. But I'll check with a fresh game too to be sure.

I had a "beta" key revoked in the same wrong way some time ago but it (fortunately) didn't cause a 2h block, so I don't think that is going to happen

I suggest you to check out ASF or idle master, to idle many games simultaneously up to 2 hours and then individually :)

Yea I'm using Idle Master but it was nice not to have this restriction anymore. Because I'm pretty sure after they introduced refunds everybody briefly had those extra 2 hours until they changed it so only people who refund get it. But you're right. I completly forgot about that feature since I turned if off ~ 6 month ago when it started working normally again. Thanks for reminding me :)

Hard to say as there were only 2 players. Doesn't seem to have dedicated servers, just p2p.
Game felt a bit 'clumsy' though. Not sure if it's a feature or just poor developing :P
