Welcome to the newest part of my semi-recurring forum event, where I try to pick users for a giveaway based on some criteria that ensures a maximum chance for them to play the damn thing. Considering this one will go for the maximum 50P entry and I paid nearly 12 bucks for the key, they better bloody well should!

Our item tonight is Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (core game, no DLCs), the game series that made alternate timelines and a Dragon Ball Multiverse actually cool and popular before Super did it. (Yeah,I know, the Cell saga introduced the concept ages ago, but we mostly just glossed over it.)

I am offering this piece of Eastern fighting game gem (with a strong hint of MMO-ish grinding and progression) for those who sufficiently familiarised themselves with Xenoverse 1, meaning, they have earnt at least three of the following four achievements before 2018-11-09:

  • The Best Miracle Of The World (because if you did not summon Shenron, then why do you play a quest-based DBZ game?)
  • Fusion Training (to see if you have grund yourself until the end of the classic DBZ storyline)
  • World Champ Training (to see if you received the best move ever that can be acquired from a trainer)
  • Destroyer Training (to see if you went and tried to find all trainers, even the more secretive ones)

If you are eligible, drop your achievement page here and I will add you temporarily to my whitelist. After that, you will immediately see the running giveaway for Xenoverse 2.

IMPORTANT: REGION RESTRICTIONS APPLY!

The key will not work in Japan, Mongolia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Brunei, India, and Pakistan. If you are from these countries, do not enter!

The giveaway runs for a little over a week, until 2018-11-17 16:00 UTC.
I will not respond individually to applications, I will just gather the list here:

Fusion Training is not a story related achievement anyways :P it is trainer specific (Gotenks)
The last three achievements mentioned in his requirements are all trainer specific so unless if you were planning on 100%ing the game and getting all the trainers then there isn't a point in even checking if you're applicable for this.

I am a completionist in a lot of RPG type games I play and did/do play on completing the training with each master, I just havn't gotten back to Xenoverse in a bit.

The very minimum storyline one was a bit too easy. Since the game has a MMO-ish grinding aspect as a core mechanic, I want people to be okay with that in the sequel as well.

Is there more grinding in the sequel? I never had to grind to achieve anything, I just did the side missions whenever they appeared and then afterwards continues the story. There were a few difficult battles but then I just bought better powers and gear and kicked their asses.

My ultimate salvation was when I found out you can spam your special moves when your in super sayin, I just kept on using Piccolo's Special Beam Cannon and killing enemies in a few hits :P

To my knowledge, the sequel is the same, minus that it has more content locked behind DLCs. Still, the game has a progression mechanic and 100%ing all trainers and side missions takes effort and lots of levelling/item hunt. I just don't want to give it to people who'd rush through the story and be done with it. Some fighting games are like that in single-player, then focus on more traditional PvP, but this series seems more like a mix between tournament fighter and a simplified adventure with RPG mechanics; great for long SP sessions. =)

Damn, I treat my SP games with respect and drop many an hour into an RPG, but you have your criteria and I'm not fit. Thanks for the chance regardless.

There would be less grinding. There is a guy who sells levels and I bought 30 of them within minutes. You also have an item that doubles XP gain at some point. Way easier to get levels in X2.

Most I ever did was beat the game, I never bother with achievements, but that's ok I plan on buying Xenoverse 2 this holiday season if it's cheap enough.

Is there any easy way to look my achievements up in english?
Regardless thank you for giving some interested people the chance to win a fun game!

EDIT: Looked up my achievements at AStats and i am missing the three achivements for completing training as completing one master already takes too long. (improved in Xenoverse 2 because you can train under multiple masters at once)

I have Best Miracle, Fusion, and World Champ Training achievements. I'm glad I trained with the right masters back then. :)

Let's hope we get at least two more people then. I don't care about the 5-entry limit, but I want at least a three-way raffle to make it an actual raffle. =)
If not, I may have to call the entire thing off. =(

Still just me. :P

Yeah that's fine. Wouldn't be fun to have 100% chance to win it. I'll probably just pick this game up next time it goes on sale.

The thing is that I picked the "wrong" masters. I am sure there are other people here who have the same "problem".

Well, sadly, nobody else came along, so I am calling it off. =( Looks like you are the only Xenoverse 1 player who actually played it and still does not have the sequel.

Less-than-a-day bump. If there really aren't any more people to enter, then I will have to call this off. =(

I played xenoverse 1, I'm a total noob in fighting games, I mostly bought it for the local versus and because I grew up with dragonball.

The game is extremely grindish and it's not easy at all (unbalanced "missions", no difficulty settings, "cheating" enemies etc...) I had to cheat to finish the story, because it was nearly impossible for me, also the multiplayer is dead so the grindish part is even more boring
