Wow! That's a really small pool of users.

I had 10+ hours on the Pirate Planet and didn't win.

That is the list of users who won a game.
Not a List of users who had a chance to win.

So, if someone has a mouse with macro capabilities is now "cheating"?

since you have a set time on a planet yes and no. But from what I understand the cheat that I saw make you stay on a tile for how ever long you want O.o

Oh. I did not know that there is something like that. I am not interested in winning any games, only levelling the monster for the free badge, so I thought cheating now again refers to rapidclicking macros.

I think he's wrong about that. Once you enter a planet, your time will increase until you manually click "leave planet". You don't even have to run the game, so there's no point in cheating with that.

Afaik, scripts will only help you level up your Salien faster, which is completely unrelated to the whole giveaway thing.

Oh if your comment here and below is correct then I dont care if people cheat or not. If in the end we are all equal for a chance to win :)

Ooh I didn't read about there being a free badge re: Saliens. I still couldn't find anything on it, other than someone saying in a forum you hit level 2 when you reach level 7(?)

Seems to be badge level 2 at salien level 5, badge level 3 at salien level 9, and we have no idea what badge level 6 even is.

Apparently there are cheats for no enemies, invincibility, instant kills and probably some more.

None of those will increase your chance of winning a game though.

Is there even any point in cheating or grinding this game?

Only if you want to level up your badge and/or get the cosmetic items.

If you look at the top players are almost the same people in every single tile so definitely it looks like some people are playing multiple tiles at the same time and in an automated way so, hope that Valve give the same chances to everyone no matter how many time you played.

Each entrant’s odds of winning will be determined by the time the entrant plays on the planet, as a fraction of the total time all entrants play on the planet prior to completion.

Your chance of winning is not related to how many imaginary aliens you kill, only to how long you stay on the planet (and that counter goes up whether the game is open or not). If anything, you can be grateful to anyone who cheats because they help "conquer the planet".

Valve was smart for doing it this way, as it was close to inevitable this stuff gets exploited. I'm pretty sure they mind not a bit, since any card drops are free money for them.

The game encourages "cheating", just like the Monster Summer Game back then. It's impossible to get the highest level badge without using scripts.

progress on the planets is surprisingly slow. nobody wants to play the 'easy' parts because the xp reward is utterly shit.
