I hate it when people here tell others that they need to give games away in their forum thread.

Am I a troll? I said that your music is s**t and I made songs like those when I was 12 years old and my Dad showed me Fruity Loops, and you deleted (censored) the comment.

You want constructive criticism? Fine!

  • What's with the titles? lol
  • Your rhythm is all over the place, decide if you want to make eurodance, hardcore techno, electronica or rnb because it sounds like you just mashed up all those genres into one. (not in a good way)
  • Low quality sounds, overused cliche synths try to put some effort creating sounds, tweak the vsts (I assume you use vst) a bit and try to sound more original.
  • Try and educate yourself about the basics of how to build up a song, the structure etc, not just randomly pile patterns on each other.like this
  • Stop praising yourself, let the people who like your music do so. (if they don't then your music is bad)
  • +rep on your own Steam profile, really?

I am also an amateur music producer. It's my hobby for past 7 years and since I started I learned lot a few things which I want to share with you now.

1) BE HUMBLE -
don't ever tell anybody that your music is cool... or great, or awesome... because it's not... every musician learns to be humble before he learns to be musician... there's no good musician who thinks his music is good... you can only assume it's good if lot of people likes it... until then you have NO opinion on your work except one and only - "my music still needs improvement"... saying "check out my cool songs I made" makes you look like a dumb kid and attention whore

2) DON'T BE HUNGRY FOR ATTENTION -
your production is not a big deal... to anybody... don't ever promote your music by just saying "I made this, listen to it"... you can do that with your family members, with your close friends... but not with people on internet or people you don't know in general... they don't give a shit and if your music is somewhat special and attention-worthy you gain listeners other way... quality spreads by itself you know... and if you are really hungry for potential fans you have to give them something in exchange, like giveaway - especially here

3) DON'T USE PREMADE LOOPS - make your own... I don't know if you used them or not because I have no idea what Mixcraft is and I gave your songs only a quick listen but it pretty much sounds like you do... yeah it's fun and tempting to use some cool shit somebody else made but it's no experience-wise gain for you, there's nothing original about it and you look stupid in eyes of other musicians... and don't even get me started on copyright.

and here's the obligatory giveaway so I don't feel so bad for ruining your enthusiasm

This thread caused me to listen to Arpeggiator by Fugazi, which I hadn't heard in like ten years, so that was good.

Edit: I meant to say keep at it if you enjoy it. But I got distracted by looking for my Fugazi albums.

Wow... I use Mixcraft 5... And to say the truth, I never thought I'd ever meet another human being who uses it. :P
Your music is good, but here's a tip, though... The music needs less pre-made loops, and more instruments. Basically, it sounds like beat loops attached together and one or two instrumental tracks. I'd recommend using at least one low track, and one high track. The low track follows a very simply pattern (maybe four long notes) and the high one is the melody. It SHOULD sound great. Well, works for me, anyways. :)

Also, don't forget about EQ. I usually add "Acoustica EQ - Basic Low Boost" on the low track. It adds a lot.

Just remember, however people might react to your music, even if they say it sucks, NEVER give up. EVER. If you let critics put you down, then music isn't your thing. I used to dislike critics, but I soon realized that I had to learn from them. Every little critic will help you do better every time. You can either learn what people want, or ignore them and be creative. Or both, which is my case.

I try to create music that will be enjoyed by the listener, but sometimes, I'll just go ahead and create a crazy soundtrack. :D

Anyways, all the luck to you.
