I am not affiliated in any way, i just ordered it, and they are not some illegal rom thing, they actually got licenses for all the games.
I even asked the Oliver Twins about possible Dizzy games on steam but for some reason that is a license issues (when they should have it).
Anyway just wanted to share it, the console itself is not expensive (if you want all cartridges however it will be 300 euro together).
[EDIT] Okay i just read there will be 50 cartridges atleast this year, with an average of 20 euro that would be 1000.

For the reviews that there are, this gets overall good reviews by people.

This one is also totally licensed, which you hook up to your tv, it has (cough) though an SD slot.

i wonder why retro games console are keep coming lately.but its a good news for a retro gamer for this situation since we can feel the "console" experience rather than "emulator"

they need to simulate blowing your cartridge to get the game to work before they get the real old school console experience.

Whitelisted for triggering fond memories. :3

If I'm going to be fair, those fond memories include some actually rather annoying stuff (like the endless blowing sometimes), but the nostalgia goggles they come bundled with are insanely thick.

dont forget the isopropyl (rubbing alcohol).

if i was rich i would no joke invest in a nintendo reboot system where all the games were on 1 cartridge but you had to blow into it and put it into the system and hit power all within 5 seconds or it wouldnt start or you would have to do it again.

oh and the cartrage would have one of those new year noise makers in it so it would make that horribly annoying sound every time you blew into it..

It's a pity I didn't know about isopropyl back in the day. Sometimes I would spend minutes blowing like a possessed madman, so it would have been nice to have an alternative or two.

I'm quite positive that system would make for a great conversation topic for everyone in a rather large age bracket. Not so sure I would be very keen on the experience, but the lols would be great. :D

dude thats consumerism for ya. they sold a fuck ton of cartridge and system cleaners but all they were were cleaning agents that were strong enough to clean oil and tarnish but not strong enough to disintegrate the cpu chip. in the end it was nothing more the 70% isopropyl. $.25 at the time and still now is less then$1 per qrt.

if you think that was corporate shenanigans it only gets worse. many cdpr devs admitted that the cyberpunk game play vid at E3 was fake and too much time was spent on hype and not enough on gameplay.

The last (and best according to some reviewers) Dizzy game is free to play in Oliver Twins website:

Seems pretty nice!

Creepy Castle also gave me some slight Dizzy vibes as well.

Yeah although Dizzy and Spud focussed on puzzles, Creepy Castle on fighting, and the items you use to heal up.
I don't know how far i really got into Creepy Castle in the end the levels felt like a slight variation each time, maybe more opens up later, need to get back to it someday.
