Pummel Party comes to mind. Although they list it as 4-8 players, I've done it with 2.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/351510/Quiplash/ was free sometime ago and it looks like a quiz game. You sure you dont want to play coop games instead if you are only 2 ppl?

Well my favorite is https://store.steampowered.com/app/620/Portal_2/
It requires cooperation between both people to finish the coop campaign.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/274190/Broforce/ is also a nice game to play together
You cant put cpus in it tho iirc

Although I know these are not party games, you mentioned in a comment above that you might be down for some 2-player coop games; in that case, I have to recommend A Way Out and It Takes Two.
Both absolutely Fantastic games. A way out has a more serious story whereas It Takes Two is just a rollercoaster of emotions, but is more 'party-game-like'.

https://store.steampowered.com/sub/33692/
trivia series produced from 1995-2003, so a lot of older references might not be known to younger players now

Not sure if it would be quite as fun with just 2 players but a group of us recently tried out Drink More Glurp https://store.steampowered.com/app/1056690/Drink_More_Glurp/ and it was FANTASTIC.

These are 2 player games:
Ibb &Obb: https://store.steampowered.com/app/95400/ibb__obb/ (must have two people)
Degrees of Separation: https://store.steampowered.com/app/809880/Degrees_of_Separation/ (can be played solo)
I just got this one in Humble Monthly yesterday, so might be a bunch of GAs for it atm.
Morkredd: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1331910/Morkredd/ (can be played solo, seems like it's better with two)

The "Jackbox" series of games (technically, game bundles) sounds like it might be what you're looking for. My friends and I played the heck out of the first two You Don't Know Jack games (mentioned above) when they first came out. The Jackbox games are essentially a combination of YDKJ and Quiplash (made by the same people), plus a couple other similar games thrown in. Apparently, in addition to "local multiplayer" (where each player has a different letter on the keyboard to press to buzz in), they now include the ability to stream it (such as on Twitch) and allow the watchers to join in.
Here's the newest one: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1211630/The_Jackbox_Party_Pack_7/
