How excited are you? (10 being the maximum)
But is it on steam though?

Awesome news! hope they bring the remastered version of the first game to PC too, but i really doubt it's gonna happen!
Comment has been collapsed.
They've been stating for years that the reason we never got a remaster of the first game is that the code is a complete clusterfuck and they'd effectively have to rebuild it from scratch.

I very much doubt it, especially not with the sequel coming and the ongoing support for GTAV.

well if it won't come to pc, i highly doubt i will play it on PS, since i don't own any consoles and the last one i played was PS2 years ago.

Well if you won't play Red Dead 1 soon after Red Dead 2 then it won't really matter. And even if you would, Red Dead 1 is not that old, it still looks decent to this day and worth a playthrough even after Red 2. But I understand you, you like to play them in order no matter what, I am the same way too, but sometimes like in this case I'll make an exception.

Meh. I never buy Rockstar games on PC since I want nothing to do with their 'social club' nonsense.

In my opinion, one of the worst DRM ever made and still in use is Rockstar Social Club.

Red Dead Redemption 2 for PC will also be available to purchase on Steam this December.
So the "Epic deal" was to keep it away from Steam for 1 month 🤔🤔
Meh, at least it's better than 6 months or a year.

Don't think so TBH.
If they want to maximize their revenue, they would have sold it exclusively on their own launcher for a month then release it normally.
But they're taking the Ubisoft route so people buy it directly from them rather than epic, and they get some extra money from Tim for the deal.

PSA: stay away from the actual tweet linked in OP, as there are major story spoilers in the replies there, some people are acting as jerks for no real reason..................
This is great news btw, RDR2 was a really good game, they really hit the head with both the narrative and the open world gameplay aspect, with the only major gripe being the handholding during story missions, and the slow aspects of some gameplay elements, both can be easily forgivable.

i end up buying their games for the SP, but their servers, overpowered MP weapons, Grind, and of course cheaters, are infuriating to say the least. Both GTA and RDR2 have some of the worst, most bland and irritating online experience out there.

I was definitely excited for this, but...
Not pre-ordering (not that I would have anyway) -- decent bonuses, but the launcher crap is gouging away at my interest.
I also can't find anywhere that actually details what the hell "Premium Edition" even is and what it "upgrades."
I'm glad it will still hit Steam with exclusivity being fashionable these days, but being treated as a second-class citizen with no bonuses and a delayed release when PC itself is already a second-class citizen for the title means I'll probably just wait a few years 'til it's cheap enough to get the complete game for a reasonable price.
Hell, I still haven't even played GTA V, in part because the launcher and "shark cash" just rubs me the wrong way, in spite of the base game itself finally having some decent discounts. But also because my rather old PC would probably struggle to run it.

Not sure why you're re-posting what's already in the OP?
I assume to answer my "what the hell Premium Edition even is" question?
But then it shouldn't say "Further pre-purchase bonuses [...]", but all the press releases do seem to say "further."

Game is complete as is, all* updates and extras are hitting multiplayer only, same goes for shark cash or gold bar or whatever they are selling. So if you are not interested in online (single player covers 45-50 hours of gameplay easily) feel free to jump in anytime the price of the standard game seems good, don't wait for more upgrades and dlc-s etc.
*except the listed few pre purchase items and horse which will only break early game, if anything...

i wonder if pre-order bonuses will be on steam also.

My PC will not run it anyways...
Let me stick with the gameplays lol

I think this is good news in general for the PC games industry.
Not sure what I'm going to do personally, though. I own it for Xbox One already. (Although of course I haven't played it yet). Is it worth paying full price just to own it on PC? Leaning towards "no."

I'm glad for another console-exclusive game I may never get to play otherwise coming to PC, but this leaves Red Dead Redemption 1 in its wake. And there's still no sign of Bloodborne coming. (Ik, different company, but still) I had to wait 7 years to finally have a chance to try out the critically-acclaimed Journey.

So Valve spares the little guys so they don't look bad (Metro Exodus, BL3) but a giant like R won't make Valve look bad if Valve decides to sue R ass ...no wonder Ubi stayed away.

There are a lot of gamers in that category...
...but there are also a lot of gamers in the opposite category.
"$6 for the BTA tier of this Humble bundle and all I get is 2 great games and 2 other games? Nah, I'll just try to trade for the ones I want."
