Outlaws is finally on Steam for just 3 bucks? What a steal!

Was too lazy to do that. But ok, I did it. Thanks for the links. :)

I wonder if there's also Star Wars (1991) on Steam. It's from Lucas Arts/Film and I used to play it on my NES (Nintendo Entertainment System).
From the games listed here, I only know good old Zak McKracken. "He slept in his bed. Alone. Like always." xD
But I remember the game having a DRM-system that required you to have the manual in order to proceed. I hope they included it in the software-version of steam.

STAR WARS™ Episode I Racer is one of my most beloved childhood games, I've spent countless hours playing it both alone and with friends (we would switch seeing who has better times), It would be an instabuy for me if not for the fact that when it got released on GOG I bought it the very same day there ;p But we'll see, I love this game so much I may buy it again on Steam ;p
beside that Monkey Island is always a nice addition, I also played Indiana Jones games as a kid but these felt a little bit like cheap Tomb Raider knock-offs, so not much nostalgia there.

For me personally Sam & Max is by far the best and most nostalgic game on that list. I love Monkey Island, but not the 4th one. 3D killed it for me.

Well, if you like adventure games, I can highly recommend it. Even today. One of the best LucasArts games ever. :)

Outlaws.
Good story, beautiful soundtrack, 2.5D FPS iffyness, great level design, fun voice acting, good animated cut scenes, excellent game balance and gameplay, good weapon variety and usefulness, tons and tons of little secret areas, not bad multi-player, and a true expansion add-on.
It probably hasn't aged well, but I spent many hours on the game long ago, and have zero regrets. And then I'd put the CD in my music player and listen to the soundtrack.
All of the enemies are 2D sprites though, as well as a number of other game elements. That might put some people off. They also aren't very detailed. And vertical shooting is awkward. When an enemy is on a ledge above you, you may have to shoot slightly above them to hit them. Same for an enemy below you -- shoot slightly below them. That's my only technical knock against the game though.
There's a good variety of levels and the secret areas I mentioned have all kinds of surprises. They're the reason there's a gunslinger Max in the store screenshots. (I can't remember if he's in every level or if I'm thinking of Jedi Knight for that.) Sometimes there's a bit of find-the-key in the level design that isn't awesome, but isn't super annoying.
Outlaws didn't have a lot of success in its time. Unfortunately, 2.5D was too dated for most by the time it released. Considering all of its good aspects, I think that's a bit of a tragedy, but full 3D was the new standard, so that's what sold.
Also, that Akinator thing that tries to guess what person you're thinking of? I had to go through it a dozen or so times before it would finally come up with the Outlaws protagonist, Marshall James Anderson, instead of the Read Dead Redemption protagonist, so I assume that if you liked RDR's story, Outlaws will be similar. (I've never played RDR... yet.)
I really like some of the boss characters you face in the game, too. They all have their own personality and style of fighting; nothing crazy, but enough personality to make them all a little unique, and some of them very memorable.
Have to say again though, that it probably hasn't aged well. If there's a demo to try, do that first to see if it fits you in spite of my high recommendation.

I had a lot of fun with Outlaws back in the day, however I doubt I'd have much fun with it today. Games like Monkey Island and Zak McKracken are timeless classics though. Escape From Monkey Island didn't meet my high expectations - I found it a bit dull in comparison to the previous three (the same with Tales of MI). But I will be getting the Monkey Island Collection as it's on sale right now.

I asked for a refund for Zak mcKracken.
I hoped they had put a little more effort in this release. A very cheap move to release the game on Steam using ScummVM to run it.
I already have those versions on my pc and phone. No need for another version on Steam.
Would love to see it remastered but I dont think that will ever happen.

Some nice old games appeared on Steam.
I am definitely interested in at least one or two of those. What do you guys say? Any long awaited classics for you in that list?
Just saw that I missed two (Afterlife, Stunt Island), which now are not in the poll. Sorry for that.
