I just had this weird interaction on Steam and was wondering if anyone could help me identify the underlying motivation. My first thought is a possible scammer but it also seems highly unlikely that this approach would be very successful.

{Redacted}: Do u trade steam gift copies
Spirit: I don't trade at all to be honest, why do you ask?
{Redacted}: Wanna trade games for games
{Redacted}: Extra ones
{Redacted}: Do you have any?
Spirit: Ok, but why me specifically? Have you seen anything you're interested in somewhere?
{Redacted}: Can you just say what you have

Spirit: It's random junk mostly tbh, stuff that was bundled in packages with multiple copies and those kinds of things. Can't really go through my inventory at the moment but if you're really interested in trading specifically with me you could tell me what you have to offer :)
