...and another one for the same game at the same time!
I used the first key that got to me and marked the giveaway as received based on the names on the email and Steam. The second gifter sent me the key too, but I replied that I've already won the game and want him to request a reroll. Now the second gifter wants me to regift the game with a giveaway and doesn't seem like he understands what a reroll means. What should I do? Halp!

this sounds like a difficult situation. if support can't make him understand what reroll means, maybe they can give you a special permission to regift the key? because rationally, that's just "rerolling" it for him.

Even if support were to grant such a dubious permission, the problem is, that Mew can't be sure that the hasn't been used in the first place and/or is still unused by the time his "re-roll" giveaway ands and the new winner wants to activate the key - in which case Mew would have a "not received" stain on his profile.

TL;DR: support will never grant such a permission.

True. This also means that Mew cannot mark it received nor not received since it's not known whether the key has been activated or not. I wish there was some way to verify a key.

Brilliantly helpful.

Tell him how to reroll in that case.

If he's not that good with the English language, you could invite someone with his native language into a Steam group chat, so that he can translate it for you.

If that still does not help, contact support.

I recommend purging it with fire.

That's definitely a problem with the RNG, I've had it happen twice in the past (considering I've won 10 times, that is insane). Thankfully in that case, people were sending gift copies and I could just turn it down.

Contact support. I had the same problem like you.
They said to contact the giveaway creator.. but no answer received back from him. So marked as not received.

I suggest you don't suggest actions that will get people suspended.

Give him directions, like "Go to http://www.steamgifts.com/manage/created, click "Gift Sent", Request New Winner"

If he doesn't do it, mark it as not received after 7 days. That usually does the trick.

Any chance he might have already been denied a reroll, since it's a key which he already e-mailed?

No, that's for cases when the winner has been totally silent, so we have no idea if he's seen the key or not. Mew has said he got the key, but hasn't used it and isn't going to.

That's the first time I've heard that a cooperative winner who vouches they won't be using a key can request a reroll. I was under the impression that key rerolls were to be avoided in all cases.

Of course it's quite reasonable, and appreciated, since it adds to your workload. Thanks for the heads up, good to know.

I had the same situation. I avoided opening the email sent to me and told him on chat to ask for a reroll.

They do, though staff need approval from the creator before that.
