Probably won't be great discounts so I'm not really hyped about it. Maybe Shadow Warrior 2 gets a good one though, since it was given for free on GOG. And yes, I'd rather spend money on a game I already legally own on another platform just so I could play it on steam.
I'll also be on the lookout for Witcher 3 and Dying Light prices during the sale, but I don't think they'll get big discounts.
Are there any other Polish games worth looking up for during this sale?

In "Made In Poland" bundle the only games that seem good are The Way (which I already have) and 911 Operator. I'll keep my eye on that one.
Already own This War of Mine, won it on SG ages ago, still haven't played it (I feel bad about it, please don't judge).
Moonlighter from 11 Bit Studios is a game I'm pretty interested in, have it on my wishlist. Doubt it'll get a high discount though.

Super interesting positions according to my taste:
Mediocre for me but still very decent otherwise:
Worthy mentions that I didn't play yet but plan to:
I can recommend W3, TWoM, Frostpunk and Beat Cop, all 4 were excellent, 911 operator was good enough. W3 goes very frequently on sale, you can grab GOTY for -50% easily and it's the best game I've ever played.

I already have first two Witcher games and I'm waiting to get the third one to start playing them. With the amount of games I have though, I'm in no rush to buy Witcher 3 unless it gets amazing discount (which given its popularity probably won't get in quite a while).
TWoM I won on SG quite a while ago, I really should bump it up on my priority list. I feel bad for letting it sit unplayed in my library for so long.
911 Operator does seem pretty interesting and unique. I added it to my wishlist.
I had Dying Light wishlisted ever since it released. Looks pretty great.

If you wanted my recommendation, I'd suggest to start W3 before W1/W2. You're almost guaranteed to get discouraged from playing W3 after W1/W2, if not from the fact that they were mediocre games, then from too much of Geralt alone. W1/W2 is nice to know before playing W3, but if somebody didn't have opportunity to play them yet, it's much better to jump straight to W3. Of course, your choice, that's just my recommendation.
TWoM is definitely worth playing, it's a very unique and enjoyable game, at least for me. Bonus points since you already own it.

Does that mean W3 is completely stand-alone when it comes to story, that is playing previous games isn't at all important in order to understand everything that happens in W3?
I'm pretty sure that playing W3 first would make me unable to enjoy the previous games at all, since I've heard they're inferior in gameplay.

Yes and no. Yes, W3 is in the same universe and a lot of characters return or are referenced. No, I wouldn't consider knowledge of previous games to be a requirement.
They are inferior in gameplay because anything compared to W3 looks vastly inferior. I wouldn't consider it any more inferior than other games compared.

I'm afraid I have to disagree there. I tried to play Witcher 3 without playing 1 & 2 and in the first dozen hours I had to do so much googling and reading in the Witcher wiki (particularly when the game asks you what decisions you made in the predecessors) I got discouraged from continuing the game.

I would actually recommend the opposite. If you already have Witcher 1 & 2, play them first. Play Witcher 1 on easy for the story, and then go into Witcher 2 which is a much better game. Witcher 2 builds on knowing the setting and characters of Witcher 1, and Witcher 3 builds on Witcher 2. While you can just jump right into 3, you'll be missing out on a fair bit.
Witcher 1 starts out really slowly, but bear with it because it has a great setting with a good story and a real feeling that your choices have consequence (and not in the Telltale "they'll remember that" sense, but in the sense that people I thoughtlessly spared in one chapter killed off a quest NPC in the next chapter).
Witcher 2 is better all around, and I think you'll enjoy it.
Witcher 3 is by far the best game, with the most polish, which will make it that much harder to go back to the older games.

Probably something like what we had last year for ours.

I was exactly going to post this when I saw the thread ^^ I'd say it's more or less the titles we can expect on Steam's sale.

The article is unclear if this sale will be different from past sales that celebrated Polish independence.
