Well… This was SUPPOSED to be a very happy AAA game completion celebration, but as you already guessed…
Let’s cut a long story short (believe me, at the beginning the text here was much longer):

1) I work a full-time job, also I am married + 4 Year old son. This leaves me about 5-6 hours a week of total PC gameplay. No complaints, my life is sweet :D but it is sure tough to complete epic titles like The Witcher 3 GOTY with such a low budget. I think it is about 3 years since I “completed” any major game.
2) Was about to complete “Blood & Wine”, then for no reason I loaded a game and it was waaaaaay slower than it should have been. Tried everything, nothing helped.
3) Decided to call it a game and create this thread, with a long train.
4) GA train creation went badly (forgot I only have 10 GAs to gift each time), ended up deleting all 10 created GAs, only to discover it limited the cap of GAs I can gift to zero (facepalm)
5) Contacted support, raised my cap to 3, not much more feedback from them since… busy guys I guess.
6) Installed Witcher 3 on my super gaming laptop (why haven’t I done that before???), game works fine, no mods though.
7) Decided to start the thread anyway to get it going with a growing train.

You got the point.

Anyway, the unbelievable fact is: I ALMOST finished an AAA game!
let’s celebrate! Yay!

TRAIN INSIDE: Bots-Stay-Away-Link

First time I create a discussion, first time I create an invite only GA, and first time I create a train. hope everything works as expected.
Inside: 3 games, more to come, stay tuned. Train is lvl 3+. Enjoy! ;D

To conclude, I would just like to shout out to SG community. You are all quite a lovely bunch! Really enjoy the forums, even though some trolls do exist (like the one near Oxenfurt. every army needs its troll). With that said, I would like to bring my own message forward: Try your best to be optimistic. I know, not everybody was privileged to grow up in a loving family and to have a bright life. Some live in constant fear or abuse, every day, each hour. I did not say everything is pink, but I found out in my own life that an optimistic view is a life changer. Even if not all is good, try imagining how it can be better and move yourself towards this currently imaginative state of life. Optimism impacts your physical health, it can also save you from depression, but better than that – it changes how the world sees you, how it treats you. Eventually, optimism will change your reality for the best.

For me, Witcher 3 were well spent 263 hours of my life. Congrats on first post and train, and sort-of-congrats on almost kind-of not-really finishing the game! :D

Do finish Blood and Wine, it is great storytelling, specially near the end.

About the train: shivering in antici...

Congrats on almost finishing the Witcher 3 😅
I heard it's one of those games that makes every other game look a little bad, so I've been saving that purchase for last.

Thanks for the vote of optimism for people who didn't grow up in a bright home. It truly is about having a goal that makes everything else bad in your life seem smaller.

Thanks for the train :)

Bump for a nice message. I need to start TW3, have it installed, and have been afraid of the time commitment myself, so have yet to launch it. 🤦‍♂️

Congrats on nearly finishing The Witcher 3!

And.....you made my day!
I had to really laugh at you deleting your giveaways and ending up with zero giveaway slots!

I am sorry, it was just so funny!
And I am not mocking you, luckily deleting giveaways never landed me in the same boat, but there was a time I didn't know a deleted giveaway costs you a slot.
So I guessed it could have happened to me too. xD

I had to give up on TW3 because I was stuck in the spider cave, fighting the level 30 spider queen with my level 3 Geralt...

Congrats on your lovely family and gaming achievements!

I totally feel you on this as I'm in largely the same boat. I've seriously re-installed The Witcher 2 at least 3-4 times over the years because each time I'll play through the tutorial and the first level, then something will come up and I won't be able to play for a while, and once I do have free time again I've forgotten how to play and feel like I need to start over and thus end up playing something shorter instead. I played through Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark, and that took about 4 months. And since Covid-19 hit, I've hardly had time to play anything - I just checked, and seems the last time I played anything was July 2nd, so literally a month ago. But I'm healthy, so it's alright. :)

Anyway, congrats on almost finishing The Witcher 3, that's awesome!

This is so true. An optimistic outlook literally makes you happier, and it's something you can chose to incorporate into your life. You speak great wisdom in your sparse free time. ;)

Congrats on nearly finishing Witcher 3... I prepurchased it, with the intention of playing it as soon as I had completed Witcher 1 & 2 (I was near the end of Witcher 1 at the time... I am now about 1/2 way through Witcher 2, so should start playing Witcher 3 in another couple of years)...

I'm currently playing TW3 too. Nice game except for the horribly dark dungeons where I often can't see anything (seriously, I lost count of the times I had to navigate a dungeon by staring at the minimap the whole time) and for the very common crashes on my PC :/ (not a spec issue, I completed Far Cry 5 without any trouble on it).
About Blood and Wine, I haven't progressed much in it yet, but I like how the Toussaint region has so much brighter landscapes compared to the main game.

Yup, the colorful scenery of that region left me open jawed for a while. Love it

Well done Thales. That's a big effort. I still have it sitting in my backlog waiting for me to finish Witcher 2 first. One day...one day.
