I have no idea what to do with the picture, but thanks for the giveaway though :)

Like some people don't have a computer/an internet access/money to buy video games, these things cost a lot of money too.
I just wanted to come up with a new type of giveaway for once, how is this unfair ? People who lack intelligence/knowledge of cyphers/enough time spent in forums don't have much chance to solve the "regular" puzzles on steamgifts, how is that unfair ?

Pardon my unfairness, I'll make a plain public giveaway later to try and amend.

I'm sorry Lorkhan, did not mean to attack you.
It's just that I just wanted to come up with a shiny new kind of puzzle and did not appreciate hearing that it was unfair - because I was ultimately giving a game away. I guess you must be right, not everyone owns expensive phones so I changed. I encourage you not to "mind your own business" and also not to hold a grudge against me.

Working on it, thanks for the giveaway in advance! :P
PS: After seeing what the real giveaway was of... ·-·

Hmm, can't figure out what to do either. Tried a lot of the standard stuff at least

"This item isn't available in your country" Odd I'm in US
Well, I really need to go to sleep anyway and I don't feel like signing up for anything third party right now.
I'll take another look in the morning if it's not too late.
Thanks for the giveaway

Ahw, there was no need to give out the link. The fact that some people can't solve it is no basis to reveal the answer before the GA ends.
Sure, I didn't solve it either but yeah.
Could you at least reveal the solution? so I can try it for other puzzles?

Clever, needing an app to solve it. Didn't think of that (I do own a smartphone, so no excuse here)
This actually gave me an idea for a puzzle, thanks again!
Just a little tip, next time use something like a QR code or normal barcode. There's online scanners for that so not having a smartphone will just be a slight inconvenience to google an online reader.

There is basically a "barcode" in the picture (middle, top and bottom) which I tried scanning. So replacing that (and removing the watch dogs thing to avoid confusion) could be enough already.

edit : there's the link http://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/gqifu so that everyone gets a chance to enter my apologies for those who had solved it earlier.
Like the picture said, it's "encrypted with HIDE by watch dogs". Available for free on iOS and Android, the HIDE app allows you to encrypt text messages and pictures. So you had to decrypt the picture using the app to get the giveaway link.*
*actually the app doesn't really "encrypts" your picture, it makes a copy of it, which is uploaded and saved on a server. It creates a duplicate like the one I posted, that has codes - similar to flashcodes - that allows, when decrypting, to just retrieve the original from its storage. So ultimately it's not a security measure like a real encryption, rather a toy.
