And so I'm back, and wanting to know some more really good, pure horror movies. None of that garbage 2 people die movies. I'm looking for the movies where lots of people die from monsters or weird stuff.

Any ideas?

Dead Alive/ Braindead.

Definitely what you ask for.

Dead Alive - Looked like a rip off of Hills Have Eyes 2 without the Mutations.
Braindead - Looked really boring.

I was talking about this movie

and the hills have eyes 2 was made in 2007...so braindead definitely is not a rip off

The movie has 2 names because of copyright issues. And trust me, it was referring as the goriest movie ever made that is still watchable (because of the content, if you have weak stomach then it'd be a problem)

also, it was made by Peter Fucking Jackson.

They're the same movie, dude. And it's Peter Jackson before he went Hollywood; highly recommended for gore fans.

Resident Evil series... don't know if that counts for you cuz there's lots of action.

I like the series, but like you have said, I think it's more of a action film, rather than horror.

The Thing. Easily the scariest movie I ever watched and actually one of the better movies ever made. The 1982 version is the one I mean.

Seen both, more disgusting than scary tbh. :)

Well I first saw it in the 80s and I'm 29, so you can do the math on that one. I wasn't very old and it was exceptional for pre-computer effects. It holds up, though.

I would actually go with more scary than disgusting. It might be an age thing, though. If you saw it in the late 90s or after, it probably wouldn't mean as much. I grew up on horror movies. I started watching them at like 3, with my grandmother, who was really into them. Maybe three movies ever really scared me, though not too much. I still watched and enjoyed them, they just made me jump a bit. One was some random movie I can't even remember that well, that was probably trash. The other two were The Thing and The Exorcist. Of course I was young and movies effects hadn't moved along so far that they actually no longer could have any real scared effect on me, but they were still good ones.

Seen all, except the 3rd one. Seems it was banned in NZ I guess? But I love them.

The Cabin in the Woods is an amazing movie. Especially if you're a fan of horror movies in general. Its a big budget Joss Whedon movie that sat on the shelf for a couple years after it was done. Awesome movie!

Haha. I watched it last night. It had a interesting plot, but I really couldn't get on why they did it.

you didn't get why the people in the cabin were killed? I have not watched it in a while but I thought they covered the reason pretty well

I suggest you give Ju-on a try. That's the original Japanese version of the Grudge and it's really freaky.

Zombie Ass
Has 7 or 8 people dead in less than 90 minutes which I guess is a good kill-count, and it's certainly due to "monsters or weird stuff."
Oh and it's quite horrifying for ...different... reasons than most movies
