I sent the email with the key already sadly. I decided to check the person's profile and see if they where on steam to contact them faster. Then I see that he has on his profile a gift-able copy of it up for trade.

Not exactly happy about this. What should I do?

EDIT
To clarify, the reason why I am not exactly happy about this when I found this out is due to it gave me the impression the person entered it just to have a copy to sell/trade away like the current one he already has in his inventory. Would rather someone who actually wanted the game to win, ya know?

*2end Edit
Thanks again for the answers everyone.

Can't do anything. It's in their inventory, not their library. No rules broken.

.. and if he ends up never activating the key I sent him on his account? The thing is this makes me think he is going to sell/trade the key away instead of using it for himself. Point of me giving the game away was to give it to someone who actually wanted to play it. :(

Not activating the game you won (or trying to trade it) is against the rules. If he gives you positive feedback and doesn't have game in his library he can get suspended.

Good luck finding people that actually play the games they win.

if he doesn't activate in 7 days then you report him and get hi suspended as it's breaking rules. There are no rules saying you cannot enter for games you have in your inventory or that you have to play won games - so nothing you can do here.

Bro, after 7 days, check his library again, if still don't have the game ... easy report.

Other than that, you can have gifts in your inventory and still enter for those games. You know, mainly traders and 5k+ contributors. :)

Blacklist him, if I'm not wrong there's a site for that. www.Steamrep.com I guess.

SteamRep doesn't deal with breakage of SG-specific rules like winning a previously owned game. Heck, the staff there don't even bother with key trade scams.

Oh I've guess that would be a general reputation check site, not specific for trading >.o
My bad for not checking before talking about it >.< I've opened to check the site but was off so did not check more at all.

This. It may be rude of him, but it's not against the rules.

It's no big deal as long as the winnter activates the game you gave him/her. The inventory contents of the user is irrelevant if your gift was a key.

Alright thanks for the answers guys. No point in keeping the thread open. :P If the person does not activate it within the 7 days I guess I will report it.

Thanks again for the answers.
