Change of plans: as you probably guessed from our latest screenshot, Druidstone is going to be free to play and we will rely on loot boxes for monetization. This has been the number one request from our customers and we couldn't be happier to implement the necessary changes.

While contrary to expectations, it may in fact be true that users indicated preferring free with lootboxes over a standard paid game.
But the number one request? That's dubious simply for the fact that most consumers wouldn't think to request such a thing in the first place. That said, do please keep in mind what day today is, and what the screenshot actually shows. Probably best to wait a day on making any news threads. Though given the selection of subforum, this particular thread was likely intentional. :P

Sweet! I'm looking forward to playing it via the Corsair Game Launcher Launcher.

I like how one part of it is completely on-point parodies of issues current launchers have, and the remaining part is actually showing off better GUI design elements than any of the current launchers have. Though that recycle function is kinda worrisome, 'cause I can totally see that being implemented by Valve.

Yeah, it makes for good parody. I do like how cluttered the screen gets with all the pop ups, though. I have requested that they add a feature for random loot box subscriptions where you can pay a monthly fee to regularly buy loot boxes that in turn contain surprise loot boxes for games that you might or might not own.
My personal favourite tech parody is this 10 year old one - scarily accurate predictions and comedy gold:

I feel like perhaps the absinthe and pot brownie consuming baby may have been babbling 'cause it had overindulged in recreational substances. Just a thought. (1:10 w/ captions disabled.)
