Hello. There is a problem that keeps pestering me for a long time. In the steam community market, when checking out an item's page, where the items are not identical to each other (a cs:go skin, for example), the prices are NOT always in ascending order. When this item has multiple pages of sellers, it's kinda hard to find the item that I have listed. The prices may go like: 31,37 euros ---> 30,86 euros ---> 30,54 euros ---> 31,05 euros ---> 30,99 euros ---> 31 euros, etc. You see, it doesn't really make any sense, so it's kinda hard to find the page where my item is listed. So, 2 questions:
1) How to find my item?
2) Why does this problem exist? Is it because of the currency difference?
Thank you in advance.

1) You don't :Valve:
2) Yes. Also due to Valve.

Pfff, they keep telling us that they're trying to make steam more user-friendly, but instead of fixing these problems, they keep implementing new rules that make our lives hard. xD

I've been waiting for years for a "hide games I own" option during sales. But nope, they just don't want my money.

enhanced steam can hide games you own and have in wishlist etc.

So, I guess there's no solution to this problem? :P

1) Click through the pages
2) Yes. Since the fee differs the prices you would pay are different, then the prices someone from russia would pay. That messes with the order (or for cheap items, you don't see any offers since they start below 0.01$ and you can not pay that).

1) -_- Even if there are a LOT of pages and there's no logic in the order of the prices, I'm supposed to keep clicking through the pages till I find it? So useful.
2) And why can't they fix this? xD

Well, they should be somewhat ordered.
The difference shouldn't be more than a few cents.

They're not really ordered. :P And what also makes me angry is the currency difference. In euros, someone changes the price and I see it like he put his item in the same price as mine. Then I check the prices in dollars too and I see he has it in a lower price than mine. How does this even make any sense? So, who will get his item sold first? Me or him? xD

Do you have an example of unordered stuff? Would really interest me. Everything I have encountered so far was ordered up to the few (max 10-20) cents difference.

The best example is for russian rubel. 1$=53 Rubel -> 0.01$=0,53 rubel, 0.02$=1.06 rubel.
So everything between 0.53 and 1.06 rubel is either 0.01 or 0.02 cents for US user, but completly different prices for russians.

Same with €-$ but nor that strong.

Not sure what willget sold first. I think if it is 0.99$ vs 1$ and 0.8€ vs 0.8€ and someone buys for 0.99$ the cheaper one gets sold. If someone buys for 0.8€ the won listed first gets sold. At least thats how I would do it, but I am nut sure about this.

I wrote an example above: The prices may go like: 31,37 euros ---> 30,86 euros ---> 30,54 euros ---> 31,05 euros ---> 30,99 euros ---> 31 euros, etc.
And now, as I said, I see people listing their items at the same prices as mine in euros, but they have it in a cheaper price in dollars. xD It just doesn't make any sense. What shall I be doing? Open the steam store in 20 different currencies and check the prices of my items? xD

Yes and your example is still somewhat ordered, i.e. 30€ is after 25 and before 35 (but 1€ is already pretty pretty big and unusual difference. Thats why I asked for a link ^^ Haven't seen more than a few cents in my entire live so far ;->

Yes that what I am trying to tell you.
You can list 100 items with different prices in rubel which are all the same in €.

For $-€ thats not as bad, but it still works that way.
Theres nothing you can do about it.

I assume there are browser addons showing the true lowest price converted to yout currency, but don't know.

For example, check this one: http://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/730/Krakow%202017%20Cobblestone%20Souvenir%20Package
This is the page from which I took the example. It used to look a lot worse recently. xD
But I don't know exactly how to find the lowest price. A few hours before, I had my item listed at the same price in euros as someone else, but he had it in a cheaper price in dollars. Still, when someone bought it, MY item was sold first, not his item. xD

OK, but that is still somewhat sorted. (Like page 10 is more expensive than page 1) there are just some offeres once in a while, that are placed wrongly.

Well this item is single-type. So you buy exactly the one you click onto to buy. You could go on page 130 and buy it for 1620 if you want. Then this is sold first ^^.

But even for multi-type (cards and stuff) I think you buy as you see it. So if you see 100 items for 1€ but using dollar you see 90 for 1$, 10 for 0.99$ (example) and someone using $ buys one, he gets the first item from the 0.99 stack. If someone using € he gets the first from the 1€ stack.

Yeah, but now I wasn't talking about single-type items. :P I had an item listed that all of them were identical to each other. It's just unfair though, you know, not being able to see if you have the cheapest offer. :(

It is.
But the only way around this mess would be steam introducing it's own currency.

So everyone hast "steam-dollar" in his wallet and when buying on the market.
If you buy in the shop it gets converted to your own currency.

But thats not going to happen.

Had an item for 1,66 euros on the market. Then someone puts it for 1,66 euros too. The price in dollars was the same between my and his item too, so I didn't change the price. Today, HIS item was sold. -_- Why? xD Should I have checked all the other currencies too?

Probably.
If it was a multi type it should have been cheaper in the currency the buyer used.
If it was single tiype, someone maybe just clicked on his item because he liked the profile picture more or somethink ;->

Or he made his item 1 cent cheaper after you checked. The price history is not always correct.
