Thanks for this. I watched their videos for months last year, but once they kinda started running together I unsubscribed.

I like Simon and can't wait to watch his playthrough.

I meant that, for me, it started feeling kinda of the same things over and over.

Which, of course, it is. It's generally all sudoku. But for those first couple months, I was hooked. There were variations, ones with too many rules, ones with too few numbers, ones that looked crazy, etc. But at some point, it stopped being exciting to me which I hated because I was so into the channel. I ended up being sad because "oh, this is another of [this type or that type]". So I stopped watching.

Watching him play The Witness, though, and solving a "later" puzzle before seeing the "training" ones was awesome. This guy is nuts.

Yeah, I wish my excitement lasted longer. Every once in a while, I'll see one pop up and watch it in awe :-)

Hands down, I love CTC and Simon. He is a brilliant logic master when it comes down to solves. For the witness playthrough he runs through the riddles like its nothing and there are still people in the chat that spoil things after like 10s.
If you want to enjoy that playthrough I highly recommend to watch it in full screen and ignore the chat.

PS: The puzzle hunts they have once a month are sometimes even above SG level of difficulty (gordonshumway, DogOnSG, looking in your direction guys) but not only because its sometimes hard to find the next connection but also because the solutions are gated behind hard logic riddles [AND I LOVE IT].

I did the Harry Potter one last year and loved it. Had to ask for a hint on the snake one because I made a bad assumption early on and couldn't find my mistake. So satisfying to (otherwise) finish it solo.

True, I had hoped in those instances that Mark would relay this information to him (especially the far away solving since it's "essential" for some of the puzzles ahead, if you don't want to have super long walking sequences of back and forth).
