I've got the GTX750 and when I last checked it wasn't enough to run GTAV. Could be wrong tho cause I'm lacking a good CPU as well.

I must assume your CPU is the issue i would not run this game without a quad
Also if your using a AMD CPU like the 6300 even with a 7950 you will struggle to hit 60fps even over clocked due to the weaker cores as that is what i had before i got an intel 2500k and all i could must if i was lucky if i hit 55fps and at times it would dip below 30fps unless i turned down graphics.
Now i can run pretty much everything maxed minus advanced due to not enough vram and the lowest i drop is 45fps and that with a lot going on and in heavy areas like downtown.I find that it more heavy on the cpu then the GPU but you will still need a nice GPU to run on max like a 280 or above

Thanks for the suggestion but I might go something a little bit better, especially seeing as could almost get it for the same price

At this point due to the weaker cores i would go with Intel to bad AMD's new CPU would not hit this year to see if they would be worth the price lol
I just wanted to say good luck with whatever you choose and i bought my Intel 2500k used with a water cooler on ebay for 130 and i have not regretted it since as any game that relies heavy on the cpu i see big boost.

960 is a bit out of my price range but the R9 looks pretty good, can get either the 270 or the 270X for a decent price, thank you.

Minimum specifications:
OS: Windows 8.1 64 Bit, Windows 8 64 Bit, Windows 7 64 Bit Service Pack 1, Windows Vista 64 Bit Service Pack 2 (NVIDIA video card recommended if running Vista OS)
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs) / AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-Core Processor (4 CPUs) @ 2.5GHz
Memory: 4GB
Video Card: NVIDIA 9800 GT 1GB / AMD HD 4870 1GB (DX 10, 10.1, 11)
Sound Card: 100% DirectX 10 compatible
HDD Space: 65GB
DVD Drive
Recommended specifications:
OS: Windows 8.1 64 Bit, Windows 8 64 Bit, Windows 7 64 Bit Service Pack 1
Processor: Intel Core i5 3470 @ 3.2GHZ (4 CPUs) / AMD X8 FX-8350 @ 4GHZ (8 CPUs)
Memory: 8GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GTX 660 2GB / AMD HD7870 2GB
Sound Card: 100% DirectX 10 compatible
HDD Space: 65GB
DVD Drive
Though unless you have a Quad CPU and a decent GPU i would not expect to get 60fps or even close
I have a Intel 2500k and a 7950 and with pretty much everything on max minus advanced settings i get about 50-60fps in the city about 50-80fps in the country depending on traffic because of all the grass.
What is your budget?
As if you can not spend a lot used might be your best bet,as a 7850 should work just fine the rebadged 270 is just a bit faster then this,or if you can get it,i would go for a new 270.
If you want Nvidia the 750ti is a good choice uses less power and takes up less room and is slower then then the say 7850 but not enough to make a huge difference.

Yeah I was looking at those requirements. Out of the cards mentioned so far it looks like the R9 is my best choice, can get one for about AUS$170 of ebay. Don't really want to be spending much more than that either. I have an i7 8 core cpu so hopefully with the new card I should be getting some decent fps then, once I sort out my ram too. That's a bit lacking as 2 slots on my motherboard died so had to take half my ram out :/

You should be fine with that and get nice FPS though i think you can guess that you will have to tweak some graphics to get desired fps but that one is what they recommend, you should be able to run graphics on high and grass on medium-high and so on and still get nice fps.
I found that view distance and traffic eat up decent amount of Vram, and Grass will impact performance pretty good but since you have a I7 that should not be as bad.Just stay away from the Advanced setting.
I would get that one if you can as 2gb is pushing what all big newer games usually want for decent performance and ride this one till it does not give you the performance you desire. That is what i am going to do with my 7950 use it till i do not get the fps i want in my games
To bad your not in the U.S. as you would have more options for places to buy as not long ago new egg had a 280x for 179.00 though not sure how much 170AUS is converted to US i can only assume not much seeing how they Steam seems to way over charge for games i assume exchange rate is not on your side.

Ah yeah, that sounds fine to me. Thanks for your help.

Hello, I just purchased GTA V for pc the other day, it runs alright but is struggling slightly. Now my current graphics card won't be helping (AMD Radeon 6770HD 1GB), it uses the whole GPU memory so I'm looking at getting a new card. I don't have alot of money so what would be a good reasonably priced card that will be decent enough to run GTA V better?
