I don't know if it will be worth it. I have the base game from a bundle and this DLC doesn't seem like a new thing that makes you want to buy it.

Isn't the 2600 version of Pac-Man known for being kinda crap?

Just yesterday I watched World 1-1 and yeah, they said it was a flickering mess. Maybe they fixed it idk. ;-)

If I still have (or have again) all of them in their original form, is it a waste to buy them for the PC as well?

I need a reason to resist the urge to buy them after all!

You mean the whole collection or just the new DLC?

You get stories with it, you can play it on steamdeck if you have one. Collectors are just gonna collect. :p

But that doesn't exactly sound like a reason NOT to buy it....🤣

So I have an original 2600 console and the games as cartridges. Is it really worth it for the PC?

But then you could play them on Steam Deck, no? ;-)

I was joking to attempt you to buy it. 🤣

I can't judge as i neither have an atari or played any of the games in this collection yet, i mean i don't know you and how you value games.
Or what your wallet looks like, if you don't have much, maybe you are not missing out, if you got something to spare i would say go for it.
You won't find certain licensed games in this collection that you might have on your original console though like ET or Star Wars.

But since it has been bundled before, you can find it on reseller sites for about 4 euro too (i can't tell sites which is against the rules).
I mean for that money you can't go wrong.

I'll probably buy it anyway...

I've just completely converted my attic to store all my consoles and board games there, or rather to give them the space they deserve.

I would say that games play an important role in my life 😁‼️

Thanks for making this post 👍

You mean in boxes or all stalled ready to play as in a game room? A game room is so nice to have.

I got many consoles too (can view them in my steam profile) but just a single bedroom apartment so they are all in storage crates. :x I still dream on winning that lottery one day, get a big enough place...

You're welcome. 👍

In a few days, the new game room will be ready (I've completely converted the attic), so there will finally be more space for all the consoles (I have 95% of the ones you have, plus Neo Geo and other stuff (C16,20,64 and Amiga)).

At some point, I had to start packing most of it into boxes so that my wife and kids could live in the house too 😂

By the way, I'll be in Veldhoven this weekend at the DPO (Dutch Pinball Open). Are you there too, by any chance?

That's cool, perhaps you want to share with some pictures?
I am having my eyes open for this when it comes to amiga: https://retrogames.biz/products/thea1200/

No, pinball is not my thing, while it's part skill i also find it part chance (my balls always end up on the side very quickly) nor do i have transportation (i am not a public transport person and not closeby either).

I am kinda the same about arcade games, i had an arcade cabinet, but in the end sold it.
While i have Mame, basically back then it was designed to just make you eat your quarters, there is never an end to those games.

If you can wait a few days (or rather weeks), I'll be happy to send you some photos. Due to the expansion and renovation, everything is packed away in boxes.
A while ago, I started taking photos to enter everything into digital lists (mainly a few games to start with), which I would be happy to send to you.

It will take a while longer until the room upstairs looks the way I want it to (I still need to buy shelves and other things, and money is slowly running out).
