Well I wanted to recommend OpenClassrooms since they've got really great courses (I've been using a bunch to learn Symfony for my project this semester) but I just realized most courses were only available in french..
So... Unless you're willing to learn a whole new language in order to learn a new programming language, I've got nothing for you
PS: sorry my comment wasn't very helpful

While I am nowhere near fluent (I haven't practised in more then 12 years) I do have some very basic French language skills.
So, while English or Italian would make things substantially easier :-p , I am definitely gonna keep in mind the website you suggested.
Thank you! :-D
PS: No need to apologize for trying to help! :-)

Hey.
In the past, I have used Codecademy to get started with Phyton, with great satisfaction. While I am well aware that it can be lacking with respect to a proper manual, I find that if you already have programming knowledge it is a really nice way to start learning a new language.
I have been searching for a similar interactive C++ course, but nothing I find really meets my requirements.
The "course" on Programmr is too bare bones (you get a bunch of examples and then a bunch of exercises), and the manuals are too in depth for what I can handle right now with my limited free time.
Does anyone know of online C++ courses somewhat similar to the ones on Codecademy?
I just wanted to get started with the usual stuff: variables, lists, functions, inheritance... It's not about "miracle method to learn coding in 3 easy steps", it's about familiarizing with yet another language, see how the concepts I already know get translated.
