What dafuq is Marlow Briggs?

Just played the trial game on XBLA and I was going from "oh this is going to suck big time" to "oh my explosion god!" and "holy macaroni! hell no they didn't!". The game feels like a low budget Michael Bay movie (which will never exist) with every good stuffs from every action movie.

and I found out it's also available on Steam. Pretty impressed so far but for those who have played the complete game: after the first 30 minutes, is the game able to hook me like what it did in the trial? If so I might buy it on XBLA or wait 'till this year holiday sale in December to get it.
