Hi hi,
Short and quick suggestion:
Allow us to remove games from the "recommended" games list without actually hiding the entire game please. It regularly just adds random games there that I don't really want or am interested in, which I'd love to remove from the list (there) but I don't neccesarily want to hide the entire game.
That's all :D

Does hiding and then unhiding the game accomplish this? I seem to remember doing that in the past. Of course I realize that's not a great solution, and I do support your suggestion.

Why wouldn't you want to hide the entire game? Doesn't make much sense to me to not be interested in a game but still wanting to keep it visible?

Anyhow, I could care less as I'm only using Wishlist/All anyways.

I can see many cases for why you would not want to completely hide a game, but still not want it in the recommended list.
You don't meet the system requirements, but might want to enter for it when you've got a new computer (which might be a while from now).
You don't think you would have time to play the game within the foreseeable future, but you might be interested in it once you've trimmed down your backlog a bit
It's a multiplayer game, and you're waiting to see if your friends are interested in it
You're simply not sure of the game at this point

Those are just a couple of examples that springs to mind as I'm typing this. So I think the suggestion makes perfect sense.

One of the ones that's most applicable to me is...
I still want to be able to see whitelist/group gibs for it, so I can say hi/thanks to the people who do gibs like that. I already miss the ones that I own, I'd love to not miss ones that I don't neccesarily want.

You basically want to make Recommended area your private area. That's like going to a store and seeing your own favorite things in store's best sellers. I don't see a reason to change it because for that you already have wishlist section.

just enter to about 5 (or more) giveaways for that game and then remove those entries and the game will disappeare from recommend list

Bump, I want this too. Actually, even interface changes not needed - just get user "Not Interested" list from steam, and don't recommend games from this list.

I've been on this site for more than three years and have never noticed (let alone used) the Recommended section. Or at least I don't remember it.

There's only one game in it, and I'd never want it / play it, so I guess I haven't been missing much. =)
