Being careless and mistaken doesn't* make one an asshole, it simply makes them human.
* Unless it's deliberate and/or chronic. As one mindblowingly extreme example on SG keeps reminding us.
Perhaps "pest" would be more in line with actual intentions?

Making an ignorant statement before doing any research into the subject made them an "asshole" in my opinion. Maybe it was an overreaction in my part, but I don't like people instantly saying: "don't create a thread about this or that" if it's unwarranted.
The general "dictionary" definition of "asshole" isn't defined by intention or repetition by the way. Though I can see why you would define it that that way.
"Ignorant" would probably been the best word to use to accurately describe the situation. Of course the act of calling someone an asshole makes me a bit of an asshole myself, I'm aware of that. You and other people are free to think of me as such, and there's always the blacklist option or you can report me I suppose.
Edit: I've removed the original statement because I did feel like it was maybe too meanspirited, Sooth replied to me originally calling them an asshole.

As pb1 noted, it doesn't show on https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/free-games like the (typically) weekly freebies.
While the description of this thread should itself eventually note that, either way the fact does warrant a new thread.
More than that, it's a one day promotion (as the description does already touch on), which alone would more than warrant it getting its own thread. [More details on the promotion here; In quick summary, it's to promote/celebrate the release of the game's associated comic book in trade paperback form.]
I fully agree with your sentiment on avoiding spam through appropriate consolidation, but this freebie definitely doesn't fall under the considerations for such.

Thanks for the heads up, please remember to add [EPIC] on the title since, you know this site is "STEAMgifs"; so most people expect those to be "steam" related unless stated otherwise.
