Same boat here. But GTA V will be a last gen port. Even if they do an amazing job of the port, there is absolutely no reason to not have it scale back down to Direct X 9 compatibility. No reason in either development terms, and especially no reason in terms of sales, since it would cover a broader range of PCs, which means more money for them. Depends how lazy they are, in the long run.

The thing is, as a port, technically it will have native DX9 support. It's simply up to how much work they want to put into optimization and making the game work as intended. Optimization runs across all settings, not just high ones. It can't run worse on lower settings than on high, regardless of what API it runs on.

Doesn't really matter since it'll have the worst optimization possible.I don't expect shit from Rockstar since that GTA IV failure.

I can play BF4 on High with 45 FPS.It's not my computer, it's a known fact that it's port is terrible.Lags, bugs, random FPS drops, stuttering, delayed mouse on some missions, retarded driving mechanics and tens of other optimization problems.GTA IV was a complete failure.
I agree with Jurjee, it isn't an acceptable port.If GTA V gets released like this, a lot of gamers would rape Rockstar with compliment mails.

I always turn off or set to lowest anti-aliasing (I like my edges sharp) and I turn off some terrible post effects like ambient occlusion or whatever and I run any modern game on very high (don't care much about ultra) with my GTX 560, 8gb ram and i5-2500 CPU 3.30 Ghz ( 3 year old computer) so I don't think GTA V would be problematic.

Depends on how well it's ported. If the minimum requirements are high, then it's probably a bad port. If it's a good port the minimum requirements should be about 5 year old hardware, since they were able to make it run on 7 year old hardware with lots of optimization.

I HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF THIS. can a gtx 660 run it?

I predict that you'll need at least one PC in order to play it.

I'm guessing that it'll be the same as Dead Rising 3(or close to it) since that's the first "next-gen" game to be ported to PC. So about a GTX570/HD7870, 6GB RAM, and a quad core for minimum requirements.

Not even single improvement. Can't say which is which. :P

Game-Debate is a very reliable site, but they do predict minimum requirements when there is no information about it yet.

If it's going to be something like IV, then expect a i7 3.50Ghz, 8gb ram and at least a HD7950....
I am betting on a really bad port like IV...

if they make at least as good port as xbone/ps4 will get, then if you have similliar specs as xbone/ps4, you can run it
