Any movies/ series inspiring you to play a video game?

After watching Game of Thrones I always want to play Total War Medieval 2 or Skyrim :) Also I'm looking for movies which actually inspired video game makers! Like The Boy and His Dog -> Fallout series

Actually I'm going to watch it in a film club next week I saw it a long time ago. :) I love the Tarkovsky movies.

I watched apocalypse now after playing spec ops: the line, because I heard they have similarities. Was bit dissapointed by the movie tho.

It was the opposite for me too, after playing Hotline Miami and Alan Wake I decided to watch the movie "Drive" and the "Twilight Zone" TV series.

you should play deadly premonition, also i can see some similarities between alan wake and twin peaks but for most part it seems to take most of inspiration from stephen king

keeping up with the series "fallen skies" but i damn wish there was survival game like that where your not big and powerfull but have to team up with friends and get supplies etc.

The Walking Dead made me want to play Dead Island (any zombie game actually) just as Game of Thrones made me want to revisit Skyrim :)
Both amazing TV series. Game of Thrones is just stellar.

Watched Parasite Eve after finishing the game, just to compare it to the original material. Nothing to special but at least you can take it as a prequel to the game. Apparently the novel is very good, might give it a go as well

Everytime I watch old John Woo movies, it makes me wish someone made a TPS inspired by them (yes, I've played Stranglehold and yes, I know that Hard Boiled was among inspirations for Max Payne).
