i'm building my blog

stuff i've found while building it:

stuff about play your games:

  • Aydaylin about PRiCERPG: The reason for the negative review is not, that the jokes are pretty rude and politically incorrect, neither that the fights seem pretty hard. What I don't like are some of the pretty basic game mechanics, that are illogical and annoying. The main example are the healing and reviving skills. You can also heal and revive using in-game currency (MBs) and 1-use items, but during combat you can do so for free, using TPoints gained by attacking and being attacked. However, no matter, how much TPs you have accumulated, once the combat ends, you can't use your skills any more. If one of characters in your group attacks and kills the last enemy before you are able to use your skill, puff, you can't use it any more. Those are inconsistencies and imbalances, that I'm pretty allergic to, and the game generally doesn't by long way look interesting enough, that I would be willing to put up with them. There is a bit weird video on YT, that may give you a pretty good idea about the game
  • Yves about IAMSCARED:
it certainly was different than expected. A few nice fakeouts and puzzles (although I'm no fan of messing with the system clock), a bit clunky at times, but overall an interesting experience with quite a lot of heart(s). I enjoyed it as long as it lasted. :)
  • RosimInc about Super Trench Attack! (PA):
It's time for another episode of my playing chronicles! :D I've spent most of my day in Super Trench Attack, and at almost 2am I'm now 100% done with it :). I played half the game with a controller, but for the boss fights it was way too hard to aim at them quickly so I switched to keyboard and mouse. Shooting with the controller was really tough. It wasn't taking itself too seriously but still had a nice sense of adventure to it. I would actually say that the fact the story is quite... simple? dumb? actually gives much more importance to the gameplay. The mechanics were pretty simple, basic RPG elements with stat progression and items. I liked running around trying to find the hidden objects. I got 100% without needing to look up anything, so that's nice :) Visual design was sufficient for this kind of game, and the music was surprisingly stressful at times.
  • gangnamstyle about Freeholder (PA):
I'm loving this game so far, but its tough as nails even with the beginners guide. Trying to get past winter each attempt gets me a tiny bit further. My last run had an unintentionally sadistic moment when a couple of bad rolls left me with exactly 5 food units for the month. Each meager meal costs 3 units of food, but a normal meal costs 5 units. I wound up having a normal meal while my workhands starved.
