i used to have that issue in my cd version of age of empires 2. basically the civilization sound would become corrupted for some reason and i would either have to reinstall the game or (easy fix) just go into the directory of sounds in the game folders and just remove the respective civ sound. ie id have to go into game location > sound > stream and then delete the file with the respective civ that you have chosen in your random map startup. ie the japanese would have the file JAPANESE.mp3 and id just delete or remove it from the folder and that would fix it for me. i dont remember the exact folders in age of mythology but id imagine youd be able to find it. if that doesnt solve it i suppose i cant help you with it. good luck!

I'm having an issue on Age of Mythology EX all of a sudden.
Whenever, I click random map, it exits the game.
It doesn't display a message or such of it crashing.
Is anyone having or have had this problem? If not, ill email AoM's support about it.
