With Halloween coming up, Stalker is a good choice for dark nights.

these are some newer FPS games i finished+really enjoyed:

darkness 2, bioshock infinite, l4d2 (coop), payday2 (coop), metro last light (3d vision recommended),

also COD or CS GO if youre into it. also dishonored, borderlands 2 (coop) and deus ex hr are meant to be good (werent for me).

If you have 3 friends to play with I recommend Payday: The Heist or Payday 2. Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4 are really nice games too. From Medal of Honor series I really liked Medal of Honor: Warfighter. Best game from CoD was CoD2 (actually, CoD, CoD2 and CoD4 - after CoD4 all were crap). And, of course, Arma. But since Arma is more like a simulator I don't think it counts as classic FPS.

Dark Forces, classic FPS from 1994.

Serious Sam: The Second Encounter, claasic odlschool FPS.

Left 4 Dead 2, fantastic cooperative multiplayer FPS.

Blood, old but classic.

System Shock 1 & 2, great dark FPS with RPG elements.

No One Lives Forever 2, hilarious FPS with RPG elements.

Fallout 3/NV.

If you want atmosphere go for 3,if you want Story+Gameplay go for NV.

Bioshock Infinite, Crysis, Metro 2033, Call of Duty Zombies since it will be Halloween soon... yeah!

First F.E.A.R., Half-Life series, BioShock series, STALKER series.

Search youtube for: best fps games and pick all the games from 5 first videos.

bf3 if you want good solid MP

Team Fortress 2 if you're into that kind of game.

Metro 2033 or any Counter Strike/Half Life game.

Spec Ops: The Line, You seriously miss one of the best storylines if you didn't play this!

Red Orchestra 2/Rising Storm, great realism and lots of fun. (I recommend you to buy Rising Storm since the MP of RO2 is included with that one).

Natural Selection 2

Fallout 3 (its actually a shooter with RPG elements so this counts IMO).

PayDay/Sniper Elite Nazi Zombie Army, only if you have friends to play this a co-op.
