you really shouldnt be letting your cats out though. indoor outdoor cats are terrible for wildlife(average well fed indoor/outdoor cat kills 2-6 a day mostly songbirds(but may go as large as rabbits depending on size) eat 1.5 bring home 1 and the rest just rot)
(repost...i hate touchscreens. edit and delete aren't even that close together and my fingers are far from fat. skeletor hands even)

yeah, and they also do alot of dangerous shit themselves. spend alot of time in stormdrains(even crawling through spaces little wider than themselves where turning around isn't an option and they can't always jump out what they jumped down so if forwards is blocked they're stuck) so not even only things like predators(hawks) or cars. catcams

This thread is very random, off-topic, etc. Cats wander off, and they come back. That's what cats do. That has nothing to do with this gaming community, which partially consists of people who understand the basics of cat ownership.
In short, please don't make spam posts.

I remember when my cat was missing for three months and one day it just appeared on the door meowing

I don't know, it just went out and didn't come back. It was summer so it was usual for it to disappear for a few days, but after a while we got worried tried to look for it but couldn't find it. Three months later, one morning I just walked past the door and heard meowing. Funny thing was, we had gotten a dog, so it was a big surprise for the cat to come home and find a dog.

Did not expect to see a Shaggs reference here......

I have had 3 indoor/outdoors cats already, longest one lasted was 3 years I think. Sometimes they would be out even for a month and come back ,but the day when it does not come will come sooner or later. Anyway, cat not coming home is better than finding it dead later, my last dissapeared during winter and I have found her only after the snow melted, I was very sad back then.

found it. if this was your cat then her second family was on vacation and left her locked inside
you said she hates every non you living thing? This includes Batman, and earning her trust takes more than a life debt

I can understand captain america being so open with his real name, but I just can't believe batman gave away his secret identity so easily. What an amateur.

Sound like the cat might have met a friend. If I were you, next time I let the cat out, I'd "hang out" with it to see where it goes. I deliberately didn't use the word "follow" because if you try to follow or chase the cat, it'll instinctively run away from you. You don't ever want to get the cat into the habit of doing that, especially when you're outside. NEVER chase your own pet. NEVER.

Cats are like that, not like they are the most loyal companions, that's why i love dogs

Excuse me, but you're wrong. Cats are very misunderstood and very improperly handled, even by the most well intentioned of people. They can be extremely loyal family members if treated and cared for properly.

Dogs are not loyal, they don´t even know the existence of that termn. Dogs are dependant to the owner as they see them as the leader of the herd. (They come from wolfs)

And that's a good example of why you shouldn't let your cat outside. Next time, you may never see her again.

So, my older cat went missing on Friday afternoon.
I went to every neighbour, checked everything there was to check, no sign of her anywhere. Female cat, 9yo, spayed, hates every living thing except me and is always home over the night. If she very occasionally isn't (because it's midnight and I get up at 5:30 and can't wait any longer), she'll run inside the house first thing in the morning.
That cat went missing for three days.
A few minutes ago, I heard meowing at the door. It's been raining heavily today and she's fully dry and clean.
After devouring a ton of food and drinking half a bowl of water, she sat in front of the door and meowed to be let out again.
WTF?
