I blame every store that allows crap like that to go on, year after year.

Here in Canada it happened once, after that every store, least in my area, changed how they did Black Friday and Boxing Day sales. There is an orderly line outside the store to start with. Then before they open the doors they go down the line asking people what big ticket items they were going for. They hand out tickets or wristbands for those items. They also only allow so many people in the store at once and they don't just throw open the doors and let people run like they are in 100m dash.

You cause any trouble you get tossed out, depending on how bad it is, police might be involved.

Now I'm not letting the customers off either, they are the ones acting in some cases worse then children. But if the stores didn't allow it, it would not happen.

It actually looks like the Sierra Madre Club opening from F:NV.... Too bad no mustard gas and whatnots.

After this, they go home and make a rage video about their brandnew console not working. I wonder why.

This reminds me of year 1999 when there was war in my country. People stood in lines for bread, milk and oil, fights braking out every now and then for the last piece. It's amazing how far we've come as a species, we now fight over the right to purchase expensive electronics that is or will be available for many months to come. Probably just to say we were first to get them, I don't know. But I don't like it, nor I would engage in such activity.

Doesn't this happen with pretty much any "big new" thing on launch or limited sale? I've seen videos of people do similar stuff for house products or music discs (because they apparently haven't heard of ordering online). The only reason we don't get this on PC when new games get released is because they are digital so people fight for the connection with the store rather than for the space in some hallway. Since they usually have pre-orders the effect is reduced even more. Take for example any Steam Sale when you have a hard time making an order because the store is getting overloaded. All in all it's more of a digital vs non-digital thing than PC vs consoles.
But then again at the moment they are pretty much the same so, yeah, PC FTW, we don't get trampled. :P (Inb4 angry fanboys who don't get jokes.)
