If you have clicked Purchase button at any time, then your basket might be saved as a failed purchase if you don't have enough wallet money to cover the total. Go to Support > Purchase, not sure of all the steps but it should list successful and failed purchase attempts.

Oh, I can understand that. With the help of a few "deal checking" sites, one could set up alerts when an item on ones wishlist has a new historical low price or reaches a price set for that game or is on sale or is free temporarily or whatever. It helps to get notified of great deals one would otherwise miss.

Don't know.
I am using ITAD, Steam Prices and GG Deals for that, no script.

In the past, I've found that steam will empty my cart after a while if I don't complete the purchase. It usually happens to me during sales, so I try to write things down if I'm still pondering. I don't know if refreshing my cart daily and adding/removing something might preserve it or not.

You shouldn't use basket to save items that you want to buy, that's what wishlist are for, because basket will reset if price changes etc. Maybe steam have to consider a near buying basket for alt but for now you have to keep track your own list, I suggest use https://barter.vg, or just write yourself the list.

Basket doesn't reset if price changes it just adds a warning that the price of items in your baset has changed.

Like others have said, Tuesday maintenance. It's very unlikely that it will ever survive Steam servers being rebooted so next time open them in tabs and leave there until bought, bookmark them or list in any other way.

You can always look at your browser's history to see which games pages you've visited.

Maybe buy them not in "one click". It make no difference if you buy them in parts. 5 Games, then at the next day 3 or whatever.
I don't see a advantage to store and buy them then with "one click" (besides from maybe write the payment info only one time)

Doing multiple small purchases a day or even everyday can result in you having a temporary ban on buying things because Valve/Steam protects you of possible fraud.
Most of the time someone steals credit card data the thief doesn't use the maximum limit all at once but in small pieces so that the bank is less likely to recognize it. Valve/Steam protects against it and sets up a temporary ban on the account that lasts up to three days. Which is deadly in sales that only last three days ^^

Thanks for the Info.
I never had bad experiences with my "buy now and later/next day".
Maybe i don't buy enough/often enough to activate there "security" :-D

Take a screenshot of your basket (two+ if it's long xD) and save it next time. This is pretty common with the big seasonal sales and all of the hiccups that entails.

I usually create a bookmark folder during sales and put things I intend/consider buying in there, because I don't trust the basket.

try sorting by tags you play most, you easily hit the same tags over and over again, might be able to find a huge amount of what you lost
