they don't force G2A on you, you can decline it, only then you have no recourse if the keys aren't working. So it's like a toss up..

All payments go through G2A, there is no way around that.

i was thinking of the G2A shield.. which you can decline

Yeah, but that is quite well hidden actually. I certainly did't realize I could decline it when I first used G2A payment last year. Cancelling it was also difficult. Never again.

I got one a while back, it's actually a quite okay deal from my perspective. I got some games I really wanted and I didn't have to buy 5 different bundles to get just the ones I want and have to trade the rest so ¯_(ツ)_/¯

If they would accept PayPal, yes, it is a rather nice selection of cheap bundles for a cheap price, honestly. But there is no way in hell I'm putting ANY payment information into G2Pay.

you can use paypal... I've gotten 2 or 3 bundles from there, you can use paypal without payment information on G2Pay or whatever it is..

you can use paypal...

Where? HRK Wallet redirects to G2Pay as well.

select G2A and then on next screen you can choose paypal. But there is an additional fee ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yes, that is their G2Pay service, funnelling through PayPal.

Yeah I didn't like it either. I terminated the order. Won't support sites like that.

I don't know, when you go to buy you can pick from a list with like 3 options, one of those options has Paypal on it, think it still goes through via G2Pay but you use paypal with your payment information..

through G2A so your info is not secure

ok, not too concerned about it, I've gotten a few bundles via them, never had any issues, I suppose at some point someone could hack them and steal access to something or other. Then again, someone could hack this website or any of the other 250 websites I use and get access to my information that way..

Doubt that site has any more or less security risk than any other website. it's nice to buy the occasional non bundled game they are selling that I don't have..although ultimately most of the games they offer get bundled at some point anyway..

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

agreed - for the most part, but this site (SG) does not require my credit card/paypal info - so not too much to hack I guess - Anyway, even I have used them before, but have become more concerned about them when a couple of my keys had already been used on steam before. They sorted it out, but it made me nervouse ever since then..

HRK doesn't require you to give them your paypal info, the only thing they have of yours is your paypal user name. For someone to get access to your paypal account they would need to install some keyloggers on your PC via a Virus or actually hack Paypal themselves.. Unless you're worried about using Paypal itself, which I suppose Paypal is as secure a website as possible on the internet..

you don't go via paypal directly, you go through G2A first - then G2A ports your data to paypal - not arguing if safe or not in my previous comment - just that SG has less of my data than HRK does when it ports you through G2A first - you don't use paypal directly when using HRK, hence their little charge on top of prices for going through G2A payment portal

Fee for paypal is 0,30$ (when I tried to buy 1$ bundle, not sure if it get's higher when you buy more expensive bundles).

Permalink

oh yeah, they do charge you a fee, but it's pretty low

Well if they charged 30 cents while buying 60$ game.. then fine... but if they charge it for 1$ bundle :D that's 1/3 of the price

with games that cost over 15 dollars normally,, so the .30 cents isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things..

It's the standard fee all vendors have to pay for using a PayPal transaction. Only this is the only place I know where they make the customer pay that price instead.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Because passing along the processing fee to the buyer is in violation of the paypal sellers agreement and can get their account terminated. That's why nobody legit does it. :)

You know the funny part? I think somebody already told me that when this was discussed. My memory can be very selective sometimes.

yeah but they funnel through G2A and that is the fee part you are paying not paypal - so not against TOS

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Actually, before, they didn't carge you a fee, but the cost of the bundles were higher, where the fee was built-in. They reduced the price of the bundles, and now the fee is visible. The cost ends up being the same as it was before.

Indiegala has also a fee if you pay via Paypal at least to my country.I purchased this bundle because of Snark 6-1 games that is new and never been bundled before but I wasn't aware of the community's disapproval of the site so I won't buy ever again from them

its actually hard to find 5 games but 2 weeks ago I finally found enough games I missed.. bought for €1.10 and no issues via Bitcoin or any key duplicates (Race.a.bit, Bridge Constructor Stunts, Luna Sky, Breezeblox and Wasteland Angel)

Note, you're now charged a fee via G2APay even when you use Paypal. That's why they lowered the cost of the bundles, because the charge was previously included, but it's not anymore.

I can recommend these games, it seems like they're worth the money:

Back to Bed - Regular price $5.99, bundled 5 times, last bundled 9 months ago, 76% positive
Bacteria - Regular price $0.99, bundled 3 times, last bundled 2 months ago, 81% positive
Hyposphere - Regular price $2.99, bundled 3 times, last bundled 1 month ago, 78% positive
Liveza: Death of the Earth - Regular price $1.99, bundled 2 times, last bundled 2 months ago, 84% positive
Pixel Puzzles 2: Space - Regular price $9.99, unbundled, 89% positive

All of them have trading cards.

Liveza: Death of the Earth is one of the worst Steam games to date, and it sucks as much as Super Distro or Bell Ringer.

Space is considered bundled on this site too, just so people are aware.

And a few of these are now available with newest bundles if they don't want to use G2A pay. (Liveza, Bacteria)

I wonder why it's considered bundled. Also, yeah, it seems like those two games are in new bundles now, I shouldn't have fallen for it.

If you use the other payment method you can pay directly with Paypal etc. Be sure to decline the G2A Shield if you don't want to be automatically subscribed to it (click on the green banner with related text).

Lol for Heaven Island and The Deer being on that list... I wish there was an easy way to check the games on steam as I have a lot of them already a quick link would have helped finding which ones I don't (in those that might interest me of course)

EDIt: oh they charge you for paypal unless you use their own method? I'm out of here.....

I indeed missed that... well, I have Hyposphere already and not interested in Bacteria and Liveza. Anyway, since the issue with payment method.. I'll skip.
Thanks for putting the links though.

hrk trades system is not bad, I was able to trade dozens of overcast/particula/dead bits for better crap games. Dunny why. Maybe they think trade is going otherway?

(if you are logged in and have your library synced, the games have cuddly little icons next to them showing whether you already own them and such things)

The only drawback is that list is an accumulation of all the games that have been added to the bundle since it was first launched, but it doesn't account for all the games that have been removed.

Yes, for those who infrequently shop at HRK that might be an obstacle. I thought humanity was divided cleanly into those who hop onto each new offer religiously and those who would never buy from/via G2A.

Where are the really good games? It's basically the I missed all free games in the past 12 months, let me pay you for hoarding them for me bundle.

If you pay via wallet do they take a fee, or is it just a one tine fee when you load?

You'd normally assume the second one, wouldn't you? But then you'd also assume there wouldn't be fees of any kind anyway. Just trying to work out if it might be t cheaper in the long term to buy a little wallet on there.

I decided to test it, because I am a brave/foolish/naive man and decided to put my trust in HRK. You are not charged the G2A fee twice, just once with an amount that varies with how much wallet you buy for HRK.

I put in $20 and was charged an 82 cent fee, and then I bought the $3.1 bundle and have 16.9 left.

The promotion has been going on for quite a while now, and they've actually had some decent unbundled titles of which I presume they had a limited number of keys, since they wouldn't be available a few days later. Right now, the selection is pretty poor, but it's still better than Bundle Stars' current promotion of you ask me.
