So I have been a Battlefield person having had Bad Company 2 that came with an old pc and BF 3, WAY before it was given free on Origin. I have never actually played a CoD game before, but I do have an opportunity to get a copy of Infinite Warfare from my local Gamestop for REAL cheap.

Now I know it's not the best to start with but it's also the most easily accessible for me (other than Black Ops 4 but I only play single player).

So with that out, I was wondering what CoD all of you liked best.

I think it's generally acknowledged that the best games were the Modern Warfare series and the original WW2 era games (CoD 1-3). BO is generally much more multi-player focused, and all the one-off games are so for a reason.

Modern Warfare 2 is the only CoD worth playing.

Single player: Well... they all look the same.
Multiplayer: COD 4 > COD 5 > COD MW2
COD5 have a coop campaign.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein. :P

I think I played a bit of COD 1 and liked it, and a tiny bit of COD 2. I like WWII shooters if they have a story.

I've never played a CoD game in my life. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

And I don't think I ever will, considering they don't get discounted that much. Talking about those that kinda caught my eye. Like the World at War one, I find the WW2 setting interesting. Best price I've seen on Steam was 10-11$ CAD... it's 10 years old. At 5$, I'd pull the trigger but it doesn't seem like it's gonna ever get a 75% off discount.

I only play single player campaign.

So far I feel the Modern Warfare series are the best (story-wise).
The story is short for each installment, but good enough to make me emotionally attached to the characters in the game.

Hey SG peeps, how's CoD 4 Modern Warfare in terms of single player experience? I do have the 3rd wishlisted, but not the 4th one, not sure why. But it doesn't really matter... Erm, I've never played a CoD game, I'm usually more attracted to WW1-2 settings when it comes to FPS games (probably because I loooooved Medal of Honor: Allied Assault back then, the Omaha beach mission y'all ^_^), I would only play single player, as I don't like multiplayer games in general.

I'm asking for opinions before attempting to trade for it.
