Hy merry christmas for everyone!

I need some help with PayPal.
My PP acc is freezed and the support is the pure trash...

So I need some help with PayPal
My question: Buy anyone games during the sale with PayPal? Then I need your help. Not to buy games, I need it for marketplace and I pay your games with other payment. 1:1

My advice with PayPal is to not use it...

Or only use it to make payments... With a real credit card.

Hey just wanted to say I like paypal and use it for everything exept Amazon because there dont have it as a option. But i like it and never had a issue with it and there protection is on top i think, only had 1 or 2 issues with seller and their fix it and protect me not the seller so my opinion is Paypal is the best thing ever 😊👍 ^^ Happy Holidays 🎅🎄
Just wanted to give my opinion on it because i rly like it never had problems with paypal direct and so i dont understand your hate about it ^^

Well, mornally, there is no issue, but when it does happen, it is impossible to reach a real person to get support. It once triple charged me for a transaction (3x debit in my bank, 1 transaction on Paypal), and I ended up having to contact them on Twitter for support, wherr they advised me to call my bank to reverse the duplicate transaction.

mhh ok, but i use paypal for not having to deal with debit card in the first place and there dont get any card information when iam not wrong about it. I just pay with paypal credit and when its empty i goes direct to my bank account but i always use paypal credit i can use Giropay to instantly transfer money on to my paypal with 0 fees so i can pay trow paypal credit. And when something where wrong like you said you can direct click on it and report a problem and then it goes to them where there protect you and the seller has to proof that he is right. But yeah never have problem beyond that where i need to talk to a real person and will probably never will be because how I do it i dont can see how a problem will arise. And when there charge you 3 times on that and 1 time paypal just contact your bank and there will block the 3x so you can show them you payed already trow paypal i dont see the problem there ^^

Somehow they got into my account once (if you google they do got leaks), took some calling back and forth but they refunded me with no problem.
I really suggest therefor not to attach your bankaccount to PayPal,. but if you deposit small amounts, for the rest i never had issues with them, and often it's the only solution for payment here.

thats bad but which site has never been leaked Facebook , Google & Co but yeah thats not good i dont want to have all my money there but eneugh to pay for what i need not more. But the refund with no problem is nice so good support i guess. I would do a two factor authentication so even when there has your data there need to hack your phone or email too. nothing is safe on the internet but thats no excuse ^^ . I think you need to atache a bank account to your paypal when you open a account but its so long ago idk.

Might vary on country, we got a thing called Ideal payment, it's also what i use to deposit money into that account, others might not have that.

And what about google auth?

Since you mention it I should warn you about Google auth & PayPal! If you switch phones GL getting the auth switched!

I spent 3 hours on the phone with tech support trying to get a damn manager to fix it but no...

In my case; I got a new OnePlus 7 Pro. Switched Google Auth itself no problem. Same with other accounts. I go to switch PayPal on there site; nope. Sorry; something went wrong!

Since the battery in my old phone is toast & I don't want to keep it just for PayPal auth!

I said what about deleting my account & making a new one? Nope 180 days of no card fraud protection if you use the same email or same card. The whole reason I use PP is so I don't have to give my card # to so many sites. I asked; "So in other words I'm screwed right?".

They answered "Yes". At least they were honest.

So if you go to switch to a new phone, etc. PayPal often will have a problem moving your 2FA. I saw it all over the forums there as well. No one else got a good resolution! Everyone had same result as me.

Either shit out of luck or left with no 2FA & unable to add a new one. They'll delete the old one but you won't be able to add a new one in many cases. Just so you're aware that it can be a common issue!

Sorry for the length; I just wanted to warn you. I hope it's useful info. 🙂

https://www.paypal.com/us/smarthelp/article/how-do-i-enable-2fa-(two-factor-authentication)-for-my-paypal-powered-by-braintree-user-faq3500

If you opted to use an authentication app when you enabled 2FA but are unable to access the app at the time of login, you can have a code sent to your mobile device via SMS by clicking Text a code instead.

Just use SMS to begin with and you will have far less problems.

To late for that now. Thanks for the suggestion though. 👍

If Auth apps can't be transferred between phones they shouldn't be listed as supported is basically what I was trying to say. 🙂
I just wanted to warn them that even though it says Auth apps are supported; after reading the forums it's very common to find that ppl can't transfer the Auth app to a new phone. Even with the help of Tech Support as was my case. As such I don't believe they should be listed as supported & try to let others know of problems they may encounter. Hopefully that's more clear now. 🙂

My apologies if it wasn't clear. I'm autistic & not always clear in my communication. I tend to be very effusive in my responses. 🤦‍♂️

Thanks again for the suggestion though. I hope you had a happy holiday & have a nice day & weekend.

Merry xmas. =)
Why don't you fund your account with giftcards? Those can be bought at local stores with cash. You would be able to make your marketplace transactions without needing a middleman.

Did PP state any reasons for putting your account on hold?

Are you a Nigerian Prince? Cause this sounds like a classic scam, no offense.

Paypal freezes the money in accounts at random, and have been doing so almost since they were founded. it's a big part of how they became so wealthy (stealing peoples money and then saying its for 'security' reasons or other such nonsense). Good luck.
