Mickey Mouse on NES. At the end of the Neverland, my right thumb always got a blister. Couldn't beat the game, last boss was really hard so years ago watched it's ending on YouTube.

My all-time favorite is Final Fantasy 7, but I enjoyed many games before that one. Sonic 2/3, Super Mario World, Mega Man 2/3, Phantasy Star, Super Mario RPG :) All great games, all great memories

Elite on a C=64... played it daily for 6 weeks straight in 1986 while other kids enjoyed their summer. I still almost tear up when I hear the music... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lKKy3l_5YI

Road Rash was the shit. No savegames though, so you had to play past the first level over and over again - rude boy, gunther, natascha, viper

I remember when being a young lad that once getting back home, i'd quickly eat to be able and play vidjageymz. Heh such a life that was. In thinking about simpler times I came to the conclusion that I was a vile, EVIL CHILD: my younger self Could easily torture this older shell of a man I've become. "Say what?" you must be thinking? - "most 7 to 10 year-olds are just beginning their vidyageyme quests!" Well, be it with those old school break your controllers games like Megaman (That I do still love), to those terrible terrible cartoon or movie tie-ins like the wretched Rugrats games. There's also one I remember torturing my ears... it seems i'm one of the lucky ones though, seeing as there's legends of death and madness surrounding it.
ANYHOO. feel free to share those games that could easily wind your present self mad, bonkers, completely nuts!
