Honestly, a 1. I've cared about how many blacklists I'm on since day 1, I just didn't have a way to find out how many I was on, I'd only come across a few GA's here and there where I was BL'd and even when I did find one there's no way to contact the owner to appeal for removal from their BL (I get that that's kind of the point considering spammers and repeat offenders just lying)

I'm guessing ratio? I've seen a lot of members wondering about their status when their ratio isn't 1:1 or better. You're not on my blacklist, I'm just drawing a conclusion. I assume there's plenty of form members who simply look at someone's profile and blacklist if they win more than they give. I might be completely wrong, though.

I'd say a ratio of .75 is fine if we are not to take assumptions on the ethics and capabilities of individuals, and I personally give more relevance to open GAs than limited ones... Stil I'd say .64 is kinda low...
edit: I'm blacklisted by over 30 people, so I guess ratio isn't as important for it as people think

I never liked judging person by how much he gives away. There's just too much difference in currency values that don't reflect game prices at all.

Why would it be a stupid reason? You can easily get games for free from Tremor Games for example, if you don't have the money to buy them. If your ratio is really bad (and his is, sent:won 1:3) it just means you are too lazy to give something back or want to keep most of the games to yourself. This community is about sharing and some people think that your ratio should be close to neutral (1:1 in sent:won), I'm one of those people. I respect other opinions as well, we all have a choice how to judge others and we can't please everyone, so we simply do what we think is best.

Who said people give something out of charity only? A lot of people giveaway games just to increase their lvls to get into better giveaways with less entries.
I expect people to try to have a neutral ratio because this is how this site works - you give something - you win something from others, of course it isn't mathematically possible for everyone to have a positive ratio, but if all of us would want to just win games and give nothing or not much in return this site wouldn't have any giveaways at all.
I have mixed up feelings about some high lvl users as well, mostly because most of their giveaways are closed to small groups of people, but they have a right to do that. They are blocked from giveaways with SGTools sometimes because of that, some users blacklist them because of that.

I disagree that it is how this site works. Because you don't have to give anything at all and thanks to new stats (you have to scroll down to by giveaways by lvl because cg is lazy bum that doesn't use id's where he should ;)) we can see majority of giveaways are 0 level ones.
If you want to give to people that gave something you use cv level. Other than that you make up rules that are not allowed in site actually.
People try to bypass it with sgtools, blacklists and closed group giveaways but as far as site rules go your ratio does not matter one bit.
And don't say it is how community as a whole sees it because I'm also part of it and I don't believe I'm only one who thinks like that.

I agree about lvl 0 people, of course majority of giveaways are for lvl 0 people, most users want to give them to everyone and that is their choice, I prefer to give my giveaways to people contributing to this site, although I might make another giveaway for people with lvl 0 in the future, who knows.

People are allowed to do that and it is not bypassing, it's just adding other options for better giveaway protection for people that participate in this community (most of the time), it's also against autojoins and private giveaways leaking. Site rules and administrators allow that, they even ban people for bypassing SGTools

I'm on similar mind here. I've contributed enough to get to level 4 (not my reason for contributing) by crafting badges and using coupons and or having extra copies.
I've got 17 or so blacklists and I wouldnt' mind finding out why. I have tracked down a couple in past and have resolved my issues with them and had blacklist removed (one felt I was too slow saying thank you and thought i was deliberately being rude). If people say "I'm blacklisting you because I want people who haven't won much to have a better chance", okay thats their choice but if its because of somethign as silly as what I mentioned before, or because of a misunderstanding I'd liek a chance to resolve that.
Now just because I've been lucky and financially poor recently has lead to my ratio being out of whack. I dislike being blacklisted (if I am) becuase people assume I'm elitist and/or selfish. I feel my contribution level should be my way of showing that I've given back to the community and have been recognised for that and not for my ratio.

Your ratio is bad, welcome to Franciszek and his kind's blacklist because it hurts seeing people with low ratio its like u cant make giveaways using cv levels. If u have low level its not the end of the world theres so many other problems in this world people are dying everyday in wars so stop making a big deal out of it. And even if my ratio was 99999:0 i'd still think blacklisting people with low ratio is silly and stupid but u dont tell the person that u have blacklisted him cause u are greedy and scared to be blacklisted back

I enjoy winning, but thankfully I'm in a position where I can buy my own games (I just bought all the DLC for Forza Horizon 2 on my Xbone... and I can't wait to play it :D ), so if I can't enter their GA, so be it.

Freedom of speech refers to freedom from government interference--like if a security service ordered your ISP to block your IP address or banned you from social media or arrested you or threatened you because of comments you made on a forum or some other public place (think of Turkey or China, for example).
It doesn't have anything to do with freedom from informal social sanction: if a private club wants to ban you from participating because of what you've said in public, that's also their right--and to suggest otherwise is actually an illiberal idea. It might be closed-minded or parochial. It might be petty. It might even be rude. But whether people like you or what you say or are willing to give gifts to you as a result of that doesn't have anything to do with "freedom of speech."

Again, I don't see any connection between restricting your speech and blacklisting for giveaways. If a mod had banned you from posting on the forums for saying something he didn't agree with, that might be the sort of connection you're looking for (although he would likely still be within his political rights to do so, even if it would be unfair). But if someone decides they don't want to give games to you, how does that have any impact on your ability to speak freely, here or anywhere else?

The analogy doesn't work. You're still in the building. You can still talk. You can still post on every forum. You still have the right to talk. And no one has any power over that. And, what's more important, whether they want you to have that ability doesn't really have anything to do with it.
Blacklisting for comments may be fair or unfair, but it doesn't restrict your speech OR imply that anyone wants to restrict your speech. If you have an uncle who says racist things (or, if you're a racist, an uncle who says racism is wrong), and you may stop giving giving him gifts at Christmas because of what he says, but that's perfectly consistent with wanting him to have the FULL right to free speech in every forum he's entitled to by law. You might even sue anyone who tried to restrict his public speech (in the way the ACLU does for the KKK, neo-Nazis, and many other groups).
Blacklisting for speech, however undesirable it might be, simply doesn't restrict (OR imply the desire to restrict) someone else's speech. I may or may not want to you to keep saying--or have the right to keep saying--what you're saying. It's simply two different issues.

When I find myself on a BL I usually try to talk to the person to find out what got me there so I can improve whatever I'm doing/have done wrong.
When people find themselves on my BL I expect them to do the same :)

Most of my blacklists are people who got mad at my opinions or whatever other forum behavior shitposting so they blacklisted me, and I blacklisted them back for being petty... but I'm a forgiving person so voted yes. Everyone can make mistakes and some people just judge others by first impression. Whatever, if they find out I'm actually pretty cool, I'm willing to make peace. Not going to beg or try to provide some kind of proof of "having my shit together". I'm still the same person, but I have many sides, and if you blacklist me for one, you can do that, and I'm not going to bother to demonstrate the others.

I don't know most of them. I'm in 32 blacklists, but I only have 6 people blacklisted, 5 of them the case I mentioned, 1 who didn't mark my gift received and avoided my messages. The 5 I found out either by trying to enter their GA, or when they were obviously pissed at me on forum.

A lot of times I'll find I'm on a blacklist because of something I did, or I'll find someone who deserves to be on mine (usually if you have more than 2 wins, fewer than 100 comments, and/or no games given).
I wanted a more formal place to try and get off of a few myself, and also remove those on mine who've fixed their shit.
If you've BL'd me and are open to reconsidering please let me know why you BL'd me and what I can do to make it up to you.
This is just my personal opinion, but I feel that you should only BL people who break site rules or are total dicks, not people you disagree with (assuming they aren't either of the first two)
This isn't a place to beg for removal, instead try giving convincing evidence that you've got your shit together.
