and what happens, if i travel to russia for holiday, and i buy a game there? It will probably have russian steam key, but i bought it legally, so i must activate it somehow. Or steam are againts buying games if you are out of your country? :D

All russian retails are region locked, you can still purchase games using russian store if you write a support ticket on steam, but that will take some weeks, because most of times they are idiots and don't believe you. I study abroad, and its a pain in the ass every time I come back and forth, some Support Techs are fast, some slow like hell and demand proofs(like student ID).

lol no. Pretty much every game out there can be gifted to anyone with no consequence. I own several RU versions of games. It is highly likely that you can activate an RU Nazi Zombie Army 2, there is no harm in trying and no harm in having it in your library. If it doesn't activate, contact SG support.

not your fault, contact the guy who gifted you the game and tell him it's a region locked game. He can either give you a non region locked game or well ... if a week passes, contact support and tell them what happened. Even the gifter can contact support and ask them very nicely if they maybe can remove the GA or he will have to live with one not received.

Are you sure? I seem to recall valve making region restrictions show in red to help avoid people getting mislead when trading for them.
It may be that you can add it to your account, but it's going to be the RU language version of the game when you do.

And Valve exploits taxpayments. Its not an exploit and it is just a buy lock. Because that it has this RU/CIS tag. It has all languages and is the same version as every other (Nazi) Zombie version. It doesnt even show as RU/CIS in your library. It shows like a normal game. Here can you see it, booth Nazi Zombie are from russia.

I bought a 4-pack from a russian trader (same game) and it came with that tag. I was a bit worried but the game activated normally and nothing happened to my account. It's fine :)

so yesterday i won a Nazi Zombie Army 2 giveaway and this morning i just received the present, but in the description says "Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army 2 Gift (RU+CIS)"
as far as i know i can't activate region locked games, and if i don't activate it i probably ill get myself suspended, what can i do? :s
