Trance DJ and music producer Robert Miles has died at the age of 47.

The Swiss-born Italian musician, born Robert Concina, was best known for his iconic 1990s track Children, which topped the charts in 12 countries.

Miles had been battling an undisclosed illness in the lead up to his death, reports DJ Mag Italia.

His long-time friend Jo T Vannelli told the publication that he was “incredulous and upset” by the DJ’s death.
