If you'd have me, I've just recently (4 days ago) finished Yakuza 0 after over 160 hours :D: and I loved every minute, the game jumped straight to my Top10 games of all time list :)

I've been playing Yakuza 0 since end of November, so that's the first thing, I started before everyone got it from latest monthly ;p
Also minigames are love, minigames are life ;p For example I've speng 25-30h alone in my favoritue minigame - Club Sunshine Management, I maxed every single Platinum girl there. I also maxed all Real Estate locations or completed all Gladiator Tournaments and grinded to Rank S in them. Not to mention actually not unlocking anything but just replaying minigames for fun, like Club Sunshine, Racing and hobo gambling games ;p I really loved this game so I didn't just play it to finish or to max it, I've spent a lot of time not progressing at all but having fun ^^

That's awesome, I know some people who just didn't get the appeal, so I enjoy seeing people who do. I've been a fan since 2007, when I was young enough to have no idea what I was being allowed to buy, and it's only the last few years the appeal is getting noticed by more.
Hopefully you get to play kiwami soon enough, it's a treat, even if 0 is a better game overall

well, I've been mostly PC gamer for most of my life, only played classic console games via Emulation and only few years ago started buying some older hardware (PS2, PSP, XBOX, PS3, Wii, 2DS) just to play some exclusives, but until Yakuza 0 came to PC I never even heard of this series, none of my friends who owned consoles and reccomended me what exclusives to play knew it, so I had no idea what I was missing untlil playing 0 ;p
As for appeal - I get why someone may not get it, if not for minigames that kept me entertained all the time and silly substories, if I were to follow only main story I guess it could get boring, as main mechanics don't evolve much, so game could get pretty repetitive. But the fact I'm a huuuuuge nerd for japanese popculture overall helped a lot, I was distracted all the time by all referrences, all substories, all minigames etc :) It was pure essence of japanese fun ^^

That sounds about right. The series as basically dead in the West before 0.
It's always been about the substories for me, the goofiness and charm is so Japanese and provides some good juxtaposition to the main story which is always quite serious, if utterly ridiculous

I've got over 150 hours in Yakuza 0 and I'm still aiming for 100% completion, but it's ridiculously difficult lol. The fact I got the Cat Scratch Fever achievement should tell you I'm dedicated to the Yakuza life though and would play the shit out of Kiwami :D

I hope you're all right with allowing me to enter. I've mostly been playing Yakuza 0 since I got it off Humble Bundle, and I've yet to find the time to properly stop. It's just a nice ride, and every time I play it feels like an accomplishment.

Haven't played the 0, and don't have a proper video card to play it, but I've played all the other games in the franchise that were released for PS2 and PS3. I'll try to take screencaptures for the trophies of 3 and 4, and Dead Souls too.

My video card (amd 7670m) isn't that great either and i was able to play Yakuza 0 just fine surprisingly :)
One of the parts i'm not good at is the karaoke, but it's fun nonetheless xD
Looking on the steam page, the minimum requirements are the same for both games, so i'm guessing that if you can run Y0, you can run Kiwami too.

I'd held off on the series for years, thinking it was just a dumb Grand Theft Auto knockoff, until one of my Internet kids bought me a copy, and DAMN, was I blown away! Yakuza 0 is a masterpiece; I put 108 hours into a single playthrough, and I'll definitely be coming back to it for more. So, if you are willing, I'd like to request a chance for Kiwami.

Well I just got Yakuza 0 from HM and had exams but I am gonna start it in the next few days, have Yakuza Kiwami on the WL since 30.8.2018.
Any chance for me to get on the GA list?
Or is the no time in Yakuza 0 (for now) a deal breaker?
P.S. the 51 minutes are from Idle Master before I noticed it was running on Yakuza XD

I meet requirements 1 and 3. I don't have Yakuza 0 but I have it on my wishlist too. Is it a sequel? AKA, do I need to play 0 before Kiwami? If not, I am a long time member of Playing Appreciated and played all of my won games there and I am part of Play or Pay too, and I played games from that group too. So I don't have any problems playing games. I'd be great to have a chance at winning it since Sega decided to increse regional prices for this game making it worth almost as much as full price Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

Yakuza 0 is essentially a prequel to Kiwami which is a remake of the first Yakuza game.

Oh, ok, but since I'm curious in the Yakuza Series, should't you play Kiwami first since it's the first Yakuza game? I mean, if I get Yakuza 0, wouldn't it be better for me to wait until I somehow get Kiwami and play that first or am I missing something?

0 is a better starter for new fans, even with the odd nods to future titles. Kiwami adds in some stuff that is linked to 0 as well, so while not much , it's definitely the better way to play them

Hi all,
As I'm sure most of you are aware - Yakuza Kiwami is out on the 19th. Personally I've played a bit of Yakuza 0 but like with most games I get distracted by the many other games I should finish, so there's no way I'm going to be able to make a start on its sequel any time soon.
For those of you who have played through the game though - I want to give one copy of Yakuza Kiwami to someone who has played through Yakuza 0 and has so far held out on pre-ordering the sequel - so cue the WL giveaway.
All you'll need to do is reply below with some justification - I have three general guidelines.
1.) You don't have the game already (obviously :D)
2.) You've put some decent time into Yakuza 0 and preferably have played through the game.
3.) You'll endeavour to not have the game collecting dust forever. (If I wanted that to happen I'd just giveaway 100 copies of Hentai Sudoku)
If I believe you meet these guidelines then I'll add you to the whitelist temporarily and you can enter - for those already there, good luck.
