I'm bias towards puzzles games but if you enjoy them in general I would say go for it:

The game is definitely an "all ages" game, could be great for a kid or an adult. The puzzles are pretty easy if you don't challenge yourself to get "gold" on every level, although the bonus levels which i've only briefly looked at could probably be a bit more challenging (I'll be able to confirm that soon enough, on the last of four parts in the main campaign now). I really like the atmosphere of the game, very cartoonish both in spirit and animation style, the story is very adventurous in an Indiana Jones-esque way. There are some setbacks, but they are all minor...a rewind button (like in Braid) would be nice for some puzzles since you'll sometimes have to redo a minute or two worth of a level because you simply failed on timing something. The bird (you control both Hamilton and his bird Sasha) can be a bit of annoyance since it's only real practical use is pushing levers...there are some collectibles for the bird to collect but they aren't required for a Gold score, what more an enemy is introduced later on in the first chapter that can attack Sasha, but since Sasha can't die there is no point in constantly evading the enemy since that's just as annoying as listening to the enemy zap Sasha over and over again. Overall though I like it, I mean it's definitely not for everyone but if you like puzzle games and adventurous stories you can't go wrong. Looking like it will take about ~4-5 hours to beat the main campaign and who knows how long to do the optional levels. Also I really like the one song that plays during the story tidbits >.>

I've finished the main campaign in about 4.5h. With optional levels it took me 11h in total.
The puzzling part was ok and fun, rather easy than hard.
Can't say the same about story, which I found boring and unneccesery.
