Well, it's pretty much in line with other story-focussed games like Firewatch, Ethan Carter, Edit Finch... What would you consider a fair price then?

I really love the painting effect they're using, but I don't think this game is going to do well.
If the game was more fantastical it may have carved out a notable fan base, but there's SO much media around historical wars and what soldiers went through already that the art style alone just isn't going to be enough to separate it from the lot. It reminds me of what happened to Dreamworks with "Prince of Egypt" years ago; they almost went bankrupt because they decided to make a high budget film about a story their intended audience had already heard non-stop since they were children, and so no one went to see it.

Yeah, but how many games are out there that have a non-violent story in WW1? I agree in terms of general media. But as far as games go, I don't thinik there are too many out there that do something similar.
But in the end you'll probably be right. I also doubt the game will be a great success. Which is a shame, since they clearly intend to do more of those (probably in a different setting then). And that doesn't seen likely if the first one fails to get a decent number of sales.

Yep, heard of it, added to my wishlist, will be waiting for a decent discount (it's currently about twice the price of similar games for Russia).

hmm, publisher is bamco and it's pretty cheap which is weird!!
considering their game are usually pretty EXPENSIVE (for me lol)

Well, it is one of those short story games. They are rarely above 25€. I don't think they could have asked for more. I find the price fair for what you get. But there are many people who don't want to pay 25€ for 4-5h of play time.

Yeah, it was 4.2 hours for me. Which is about right for this kind of game, but many will still consider it short.

I want to raise awareness for the game 11-11 Memories Retold, as I fear this might get mostly unnoticed. There are barely any Steam reviews yet, and the forum is not too crowded either. Which is a shame, as this game is really beautiful. It tells a story of two people who are dragged into the Great War for different reasons, as enemies. And when they meet, they become friends. The Canadian is spoken by Elijah Wood, the German by Sebastian Koch. It's a very well made game and really deserves some visibility. I hope at least some of you guys check it out, and maybe a few give it a chance and buy it. It would be sad to see this fail, as it does so many things right. It is a touching story with likeable characters in a harsh world. With great voice acting, an interesting art style and beautiful transitions between the two main characters when they are not together. I really enjoyed it, and I am sure some of you will have the same experience.
I can highly recommend this to anyone who loves a good story in a video game. It's easily worth the money, and I hope enough people will agree with me, so that we can get a second Memories Retold game at some point (they hinted this in the credits).

I also would greatly appreciate if you upvoted this screenshot of mine. As I really would like to thank the devs for doing proper 21:9 letterboxing, which really not a lof of games do (can only think of Dishonored 2 and Shadow Warrior 2 in the last 2-3 years). And getting this screenshot to the top is hopefully one way of achieving that.
