Is The Elder Scrolls: Online a full steamworks game, or does it activate on something else, if not bought on steam?

Well its an mmorpg that requires a login, so I'm assuming it uses something else too. Not positive since I don't play it.

It has its own launcher that gets updates and whatnot like most MMOs on Steam.

Source: I bought the game outside of Steam.

So if I buy it outside of steam, it won't use it right?

Buy on Steam so you can manage it in one go from your Steam client.

Honestly your better off buying OFF steam, as you can only buy crown packs on steam if you buy it on steam, and only one pack for each domination a week.

if you buy it off steam you can buy as many crowns as you want as often as you want... (crowns being the in game cash shop currency.)

That won't happen. Still don't get the whole "FUCK ESO" bandwagon that's going on. It's a fun ES game and it's a fun MMORPG. Pretty much all the bugs are fixed and the added features makes it feel like an ES game while still being a MMORPG. Best PVP in any MMO I've played too.
