They have their fans. And whatever you might think about them, its cheaper than buying model trains to build replicas of these tracks.

The general perception is 'Whoa, look at all the DLC'. But people need to remember that nobody has to buy it all, just like the model train analogy from DeltaBladeX, the users only buy what they want to add to their collection.

My brother's into it, well one community made mod in particular. There's a real-life tramway system that he likes to ride on and I put the mod of that on it and he enjoys it. I also bought him a copy of Microsoft Train Simulator and got him a mod of the same route on there.

I've played a couple hours of vanilla TS2014 and thought it was alright actually, not as boring as I thought it was going to be. Also got the Holiday Express DLC at Christmas. It's a toy train set running round a living room and thought it looked really cute so I got that one for myself.
